I think they used Karishmas voice as a tribute to Kareenas sister and she liked the idea. I know they could have pretended and used her voice in some other tone as she was the one calling anyway and not some other girl. 😆😆 But it was to pay tribute to Karishma who is Salmans close buddy. Anyway, I enjoyed hearing it. Then again I enjoyed the movie period.

I do not think it was a tribute or anything...I think Karisma is Salman's friend and Kareena's sister so the idea just popped up...I think Karisma did full justice...for me Chahya was a different person altogether! loved Chahya-Lovely chemistry!

Thats exactly why i think its all abt favoritism and nepotism...

They just dont have a set criteria...

If Kareena can get nominated for glam roles in the past and she is snubbed this year for the same kind of glam roles then it doen make me think that its a deliberate snub...

They did play favoritism with her in the past and now its just that they have moved on to diff people...

If performance was the criteria, then why are performances like Naseer's in A Wednesday, Rajeev K's in Aamir, Ajay D's peformances in movies like OUATIM and Emraan in some of his movies not given their due...

If BO success is the criteria then why was Akshay snubbed when he gave back to back hits and blockbusters in the past when HR and SRK movies like D2 and Don/Ra1 get nominations/awards...

Look at the best actor awards from the past 10 years... Are AB sr, SRK and HR the only three best actors and performers we have... Not at all... There are many more... Then why is it that consistently these three are the ones who get the best actor awards and the rest are ignored...

FF particularly has no set criteria at all in picking up nominations/awards...

After the flak they got last year they just added some surprise names here and there this time to show how credible they are...😆

You know I was going to mention you in my post coz I know that was what you enjoyed the most.I did mention that they used her voice as Karishma is Salman's close buddy and Kareena's sister and am sure both liked the gesture.

@Maddy agree with your post totally, and exactly what I was trying to express, that the snubbing was on purpose and no over sight. Just like with Salman this year on star screens where SRK is hosting, and someone posted a video where when he ws asked why is Salman not nominated and he just shrugs (shows SRK's insecurity). This is reason I get upset on him when his bruised ego gets in the way. Awards mean too much to him and even to Hrithik. Proud others have to took a stand, and Kareena took it last year hence is snubbed.

may b both ..srk has wn it 8 times(maximu😉) ..all those SRK movies got both critical acclaim n BO success (except swadesh)...Emraan z only underrated actor ...btw Ra1 had no nomination ..indian critics criticized it badly😆 ...they hated BG too ..but FF nominates BG n salman .i knw favoritism/nepotism😆.if srk doesnot deserve nomination/award for don2 .then no one does ...

not only in FF ,srk has own iifa,screen,cine,national award,padmashree award for those performances ...

screen has nominated only critically acclaimed movies ..so BG ws not there ..Ra1 ws nominated only in VFX,music category .BG 2 there in music category..

i guess FF, Starscreen r popular awards...movies which the audience see...movies like Aamir, Wednesday r critics hit...don't think they were mass hits...tats y they hav won awards for the critics category...as far as SRK, Bachchan sir, HR winning...blame it on us...fans...coz the popular category is decided thru voting...n v people do vote for r favourites...is anything wrong with tat?

as far as BG, Salman or Emran not being nominated...tat wud count on the inside politics,which every individual in the industry plays, not only a select few...so big deal!...v r not responsible for tat😆😆😆

Sorry Maddy, but if the OTHER PERSON had stuck to the topic without getting sassy and sarcastic and bringing in my celeb preferences for NO REASON, and deeming it fit to comment on ME rather than my point, then I didnt think a big deal of bringing in what I thought of that member's racist attitude (which btw is AS obvious as my fanaticism for Saifeena. So if that can be brought in to comment upon without reason, so can her racism 😉 )

Only someone with a racist mind would equate me praising the KHANS of bollywood, as something related to religion, last name, nationality, etc, when my OWN favorite celebrity is an Indian Hindu. Alas, I dont have any preference based on MY country or MY religion. I guess that makes me a gaddaar 😆

Just a general FYI - Racism is DISGUSTING and for PETTY MINDS.

On Topic - Kareena didnt deserve it this year, lets see what she brings on the coming year.

Holy moly...after catching up with this thread, wish I hadn't bothered. Some of the comments have been quite an eye-opener, though. Clearly the world is not progessing forward. Still stuck in the same old negative mindset. *sigh*

Anyways, back on topic- I don't think Bodyguard or Ra.One were award worthy performances. But I wouldn't have been surprised if Kareena had received a nomination. I mean, there have been far worse nominees! But I wouldn't call it a royal snub...that would be an exaggeration (IMO)
