exactly thts y i am strongly against comparisons between Big B and SRK...both r on a dif level...n both r successful in der movies in der own ways... hence shud neva b compared...Big B shudnt b compared 2 ne of the current actors...he cud onli b compared 2 actors of his generation...shashi..rishi...rajesh khanna...dilip kumar etc

Big B as Don was amazing..No doubt SRK's done was more stylish and sleek but I somehow just did not like SRK as Don and I could not help comparing the 2..Big B's voice and dialogue delivery , his walk, his attitude was awesome!! I felt SRK overacted in Don, esp the last scene in Don where he proclaims he is the king was so OTT! Even the Khaike paan banaraswala song, Big B rocked in it and his expressions and moves were so hilarious, but SRK no matter how hard he tried could live it up IMO!!

Both my parents love old Big B films, but when it comes to the new Don--my mom loves it and my dad hates it. It's all about personal preference.

I think of the new Don as a tribute--exactly as CPR said. I mean it's Farhan giving a tribute to his dad and I'm sure SRK (who's always been super respectful towards Big B) is doing the same. There's no need to debate which one is better b/c both Big B and SRK are legends. If there was no Don with Big B than there wouldn't have been a newer Don with SRK. Big B created the character and SRK added a spin too it--either way the original Don is a classic and the new ones will be too.

I've seen the elder generations act negatively to the newer version b/c their huge Big B fans and think SRK is copying him. The newer generations can connect with the new one. In my opinion, the newer version's storyline makes more sense b/c if Don is that smart, manipulative, and wanted by dozens of countries than he shouldn't get caught at the end. Logically, that makes more sense to me--so I like the newer one. But older one is still fantastic.

As for Abhi...he's being a bias son. Ask Aryan the same question in 20 years, he'll say my Dad was the best Don. Chill out pp, Abhi isn't a spoiled brat b/c he watches and admires his father so is also coined my many "The Greatest" Actor in India. So of course he says this, but his respect for SRK as an actor isn't diminished. Their equation is still the same.

@VG: The thing about Kareena-you're dead right. 😆

In Don 2--yeah SRK def did, but in the first one I found SRK to be pretty suave and smooth too. I personally like Big B's voice more as Don--with a voice like that one can surely be a villain and still so sophisticated.😳
