Why target Ameesha?

I have to agree with the person who posted on this one...hating for just hating is just plain childish.

Obviously, Ameesha does not have any backing from big names or families from the film industry... but she was once famous and she is trying to make a comeback.

She is working hard at it...why not give her credit for that...6 releases for a comeback is not bad at all, and none us has seen those movies yet to discredit her...why don't we wait and see before tearing her apart?
otherwise we just look like kids from kindergarten, as the bitching is not warranted in this case.

A lot of actresses are trying to make a comeback...what is their line up in 2012?

I have nothing against these actresses but I'm just trying to make a point here:
how many releases does Rani have in 2012...how many does Karishma has...what about Preity?...how about the once queen of bollywood Madhuri for that matter?

Ameesha is doing well for herself...It's not even that I'm crazy about her...but it just irked me how people automatically start trashing her just because she not Kat or Kareena, or PC...and all she did was announce that she has 6 releases.

Okay wat sort of tortorous year wud it be for the critics...😳

That makes sense, actually. Some people can't stand each other mainly because they're too similiar. Kareena could get away with a lot of things because she has connections but Ameesha should've been more diplomatic.

Its sad to see that this forum criticizes all celebrities for no reason. Amisha was actually good during her initial years of career, she gave 2 blockbusters KNPH & Gadar. If you watch her in Gadar, Humraaz, Ankahee etc. She can definitely ACT. But sad that her career went downhill coz of wrong decisions & bad choice of movies.

It's very nice to know that someone out there thinks the same... IMO, she is a very underrated actress and most of her good performances have been overlooked maybe because they weren't helmed by big banners or had a Khan. I really hope she finds that platform where she can showcase her acting skills again with her upcoming films. Ankahee has got to be one of her most honest portrayals ever and I'm sure half of the forum haven't heard of this film!

If you actually look at it, her films are directed by decent directors... Shortcut Romeo is Susi Ganeshan's Bollywood debut, all his Tamil films were huge successes and won awards; this one is a remake of one of his acclaimed films. He assisted Mani Ratnam throughout his career as well. Bhaiyya ji Superhit is directed by Neeraj Pathak who made the highly acclaimed Right Ya Wrong. And ofcourse, Race 2 is by Abbas Mustan who make great thrillers. Her productions are by David Dhawan and Priyadarshan. Although they are not a critic's favorite but they can surprise you and the audience loves their films (barring a few)!

I have a gut feeling that critics are going to favor her next year as she's playing a variety of roles in these films (first negative character in Shortcut Romeo, grey shaded in Race 2, and a double role in Same 2 Same). Even Vidya was almost written off till The Dirty Picture released and now the whole nation loves her! Look at the wonders one hit can do. Jacqueline Fernandez, although not much of an actress, was offered many biggies once Murder 2 became a huge hit! She almost left Bollywood before that. If they can do it, so can Ameesha! Age doesn't matter at this point in Bollywood, at least not anymore (to an extent). If filmmakers believe in you then they'll come up with tailor-made roles for you!

Ameesha is definitely a better actress than the recent one hit wonders.Unfortunately the lineup isn't that exciting. 😔 Of all the six releases only shortcut romeo looks promising.sadly even it isn't mentioned in the most awaited movie of the year list.There's more buzz over a single movie of Kareena n PC than all of Ameesha's films put together.Somehow her prodn venture looks very shady to say the least. Never bothered to believe Masand's blind item till i recently read the news of her production partner as her real boyfriend. 😕 Wonder how she'll complete 3 movies from her home prdn within this yr without even casting male leads 🤔.that isn't an easy task considering she hasn't been part of hit films lately. Also not to forget she isn't critics favourite either.Hope her efforts pays off this time around!!

Ameesha is one of those actresses who is aging well as well...with the right make up and style, she can still play a college girl.
