Priyanka Chopra tops the ApunKaChoice poll of favourite actresses of the year

PRIYANKA IS THE BEST

2011 was the year of some subtly nuanced performances by Bollywood actresses and so we asked our readers to vote for their favourite actress of the year in the new ApunKaChoice poll. Surprise...surprise...surprise...Priyanka Chopra, not the current favouriteVidya Balan, topped the poll.

Vishal Bhardwaj's film 7 Khoon Maaf may have been a clunker, but Priyanka Chopra did win the admiration of the critics with her seven different portrayals as the woman in as many fatal relationships. She was the suppressed wife of a domineering armyman, a harried lover of a drug addict, a battered lady, a vamp, a plotter and, not the least, a serial killer.
We got a whopping 5286 votes (keep them coming, folks!) and Priyanka Chopra topped the poll with 31 percent votes in her favour.

2. KAREENA KAPOOR

Kareena Kapoor's performance as a collegian who loves her bodyguard but never musters up courage to express her feelings to him in Bodyguard got 28 percent votes. She comes second in the list of favourite actresses

3. RANI MUKHERJEE

Rani Mukherjee's feisty performance as a journalist bent on getting a killer punished in No One Killed Jessica got 18 percent ayes. She comes third in the poll.

4. VIDYA BALAN

Vidya Balan, considered the hot favourite to walk away with Best Actress awards in the coming award season, could only get 17 percent nods for her performance in The Dirty Picture, alas

5. KATRINA KAIF

Katrina Kaif was the lifeline of Mere Brother Ki Dulhan. She got 5 percent votes.

6. KANGANA RANAUT

Not many people think highly of Kangana Ranaut's performance in Tanu Weds Manu. She got only 1 percent votes.

Vidya deserves itt. People think of TDP to be too vulgar and cheap so maybe they didn't vote for her.
PC should've been second, maybe.. Her role in Don 2 was really limited though.. Besides the action scene, there was really nothing..

I loved Vidya, PC and Rani this year! Vidya attempted risky roles and did great in them, PC took challenging roles and didn't settle for arm candy kinda roles and it was just great for me to see Rani back on screen in a hit movie.
