Yep... Quick rethink it is for Kareena... Otherwise the fate of Heroine will end up like Kurbaan... That had the New York hangover and if Kareena does not do a rethink then Heroine too will end up the same fate...

They are similar subjects and comparison will be there... Vidya has set the standards really high for an actress and the next one will have to work more harder by pushing the envelope further...

The Dirty Picture is one of the few hindi films Kareena actually took the time out to watch.

I dont think its insecurity, otherwise she would have done the same for Saat Khoon Maaf and What's Your Rashee where Priyanka was the lead protagonist backed up by ace directors. Priyanka ALSO got a lot of praise, did she not? So why didnt Kareena run and check those films out?

The fact is, Heroine and TDP have very similar storylines and I kinda realized that as well, when I had read the synopsis of TDP. Even Madhur is aware of it coz he released a statemetn saying they're not that similar, since Heroine is more about an actress who IS at the top fo her game and her downfall, whereas Dirty Picture is more about the struggle to get to the top.

Its actually really smart of Kareena to check the film out so she doesnt repeat Vidya's act. This isnt insecurity. This is being SMART.

And she praised Vidya afterwards as well, saying its one of the best performances she's seen in India.

Using Vidya's moment of success to promote her movie and promote herself irks of insecurity of how her own movie is going to shape up, in my opinion.

This isnt the first time Kareena has tried to steal someone else's thunder. Didnt she try to take over the promotion of LAK when Deepika was the heroine?

so please dont tell me that Kareena has nothing but honest intentions.

kareena is famous for her honesty * coughs * insecurity *

its really shallow of her trying to hog some1 else limelight be it LAK or TDP .its crystal clear she neither has any belief in the script nor MB even her her skills if u call it acting😛

Pragya, I cant take the rest of your statement seriously.

Take over promotions of LAK? From Deepiak? She did NOT need the publicity coz her own film was releasing at hte same time, Kambkakht Ishq, which WAS at the time touted to be the BIGGEST film of the year.

Yeah right she needed to lose sleep over Deepiak's success? Who is Deepika? 😆

If she was yakkin about LAK, its coz she cannot control her LUrrrVEEE for Saif, which she still cannot do.

I think PRagya and Desu are both right. It's probably a bit of both...Bebo's PR could have waited at least a week before releasing these news articles...but no they had to do it NOW! Well from PR POV it's a good move though. But I also think that it is SMART to check out TDP because Heroine has a similar theme to see what the actress has done. It's good for Bebo now she is going all out. So yes bit of both. A little from insecurity (and I think it's normal if someone else has already done something similar!) and a little from trying to do one's best (you do want to do better than your predecessor! everyone wants to do that!).

this was the first thing i thought of after watch TDP, the story line is similar to Heroine and Vidya gave powerhouse performance..it's going to be a tough one for kareena to outdo Vidya, she better bring it.
