Preity excited about Karan Johar movie

Chirpy Preity Zinta is gung-ho about Karan Johar's next movie Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna .

It may sound clichd, but Preity says Johar's next directorial venture is really hatke. This is the first time Preity is working in a movie that is being directed by Karan Johar . Previously, she starred in Kal Ho Na Ho that was produced by Karan.

"What I am doing here (in Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna) is very different from anything I've done so far. It gives me a chance to portray different aspects of being a woman. I have done many different roles…but this one is really different," an IANS report quotes Preity as saying.

Preity has all the good things to say about Karan. She thinks Karan is a "gifted writer" with a knack to write "progressive" lines. But most of all, it is the atmosphere that Karan helps create on the shooting sets that prompts the actors to give their best to the project.

"The vibes on the sets with Amit-ji, Abhishek, Shah Rukh and Rani were amazing…It is impossible to have negative vibes on a Karan Johar set," Preity is quoted as saying.

Apart from Preity, KANK stars Amitabh Bachchan , Shah Rukh Khan , Abhishek Bachchan and Rani Mukherjee .

According to Preity the main strength of KANK will be acting performances.

"Kabhi Alvidaa will be powerful in the performances because the roles are all so well-etched," she says.

As of now, Preity has just two projects on her hands. Johar's movie and Shirish Kunder's Jaaneman with Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar.
