Neeru ka Dil hai just Punjabi

TIPS film

Talking about the film, Neeru says, "I am very excited, because it's a TIPS project, and the director is Manmohan Singh, who has directed Yash Chopra's movies."

Neeru slots Dil Apna Punjabi as a family drama and says it has all the ingredients of a masala film. "I am not allowed to give out the plot, but it's definitely exciting. I play the lead heroine opposite Harbhajan Mann."

Are they married?

There were reports that Neeru had secretly tied the knot with Amit in a court wedding last year.

Reacting to this, she says, "We are definitely not married. I don't know why someone is spreading such talk about us. Why should we hide our marriage — it's the best thing that can happen to anyone! Trust me, the world will know the day we get married."

From being labelled a snob to having her relationship with Amit under the scanner, her funda is, "I don't care what people have to say. My relationship with Amit is rock solid, and we are madly in love."

Fat se fit

Neeru is still agitating about being labelled fat during the Nach Baliye phase but she has taken the criticism in the right spirit. And she decided to lose the label. And now, she declares, "I want to tell everyone who talks about my weight that I have recently lost five to six kg, and feel much better."

Getting rid of the kilos

The Punjab di kudi devised an excercise and nutrition plan for herself. She reveals that her magic mantra for losing all the extra kilos was, in one word — jogging. She did keep a watch on what she ate and all this effort helped her get the look she wanted.

She says, "I did weights as well, but more than anything, it was simple jogging that made me shed the extra kilos. And I cut down on the usual culprits that make you fat." You know...the big C's — chips, colas and chocolates.
