AAMIR keeping tab on RA1 figures leaves SRK 'hurt'

The Shah Rukh Khan - Aamir Khan rivalry seems to have take a nasty turn post RA.One release. While the film has got a mixed response from fans and critics, people from the industry has taken this opportunity to widen the Khan divide. According to sources, people in the industry have been telling SRK that Aamir Khan, who had been keeping a close tab on his dream project, is now trying to run the film down.

A source close to SRK told Mumbai Mirror, "People in the industry have taken this opportunity to get closer to Shah Rukh. Certain people from the industry too, have called and messaged him to say how Salman Khan and Aamir have been trying to run down RA.One."

"Shah Rukh though not too concerned about Salman's act was upset with Aamir. The Sallu-SRK rivalry has been going on for quite some time now. However, the news of Aamir choosing to support Salman has hurt Shah Rukh a lot," informed the source.

Initially, SRK even chose to ignore the stories. But after repeated reports about Aamir inquiring about the box office returns of RA.One, SRK was a little miffed. In fact, SRK learnt from his friends that Aamir did not think that RA.One collections were up to the mark.

On the other hand, a source close to Aamir claimed that none of the stories being spread by people in the industry were true. "Why would Aamir want to kill SRK's film? Aamir is shooting in London for Reema Kagti's film and is not aware of the collections of RA.One at all. How can Aamir sabotage a film that has got a mixed response from the audience?" said the source.

The source added, "The film RA.One has not even crossed the box office collections of Salman han starrer Bodyguard. So the question of Aamir or him worrying about the collections of his film 3 Idiots don't arise. There has simply been a misunderstanding. Some people from the industry are just poisoning SRK's mind."

"Once both Aamir and SRK know the facts, the issue will be solved in no time," said the source hoping that Shah Rukh Khan would soon realise that people around him are simply creating the so-called rivalry."

Both SRK and Aamir remained unavailable for comments.

The questions uppermost in the minds of the trade people are two: Will Shah Rukh Khan's Ra.One overtakeSalman Khan's Bodyguard? And will it overtake Aamir Khan's 3 Idiots? While the race between Bodyguardand Ra.One is neck-to-neck in India, the latter film will be miles ahead of Bodyguard in the Overseas circuit in the final tally. As for 3 Idiots, it is almost hundred per cent certain that Ra.One will not be able to break the record of 3 Idiots. This is because while 3 Idiots was unanimously hailed as a masterpiece, Ra.One is carrying mixed reports. Therefore, the topmost grosser of all times would still be 3 Idiots. Aamir Khan's fans can breathe easy!
