2011 - One of the worst years of Bollywood

I don't know about others, but for me, 2011 is one of the worst years of Bollywood, all the films that I have seen until now, have been anything from below average to gutter trash. I am not talking about boxoffice success, sure we've had a few films cross 100 crores, but so what?, as a viewer, all I'm concerned about is being entertained, watching a film and being satisfied, I could care less how it performs at the boxoffice, that is the concern of the filmmakers. The ironic thing is, those 100 crores films are the worst of the worst of 2011 in terms of quality, complete garbage.

The last time I enjoyed a film was probably a few years ago, 3 Idiots and A Wednesday are the only films I remember from recent times where I actually watched the film in full and felt satisfied.

I agree with you...all films I watched were trashy. And now we have only two months left...lets see how Rockstar, Don2 and Dirty Picture do. Till a few years back small films provided viewers with variety. But this 100 crore trash has killed those efforts.

it wasnt too bad IMO...i enjoyed Singham and Delhi belly...to a certain extent even Aarakshan...and the little films like Tanu weds Manu, Chalo Dilli,Shor in the city, Yeh saali zindagi and Stanley ka dabba were quite watchable too...and im looking forward to Rockstar, Ladies vs rickie bahl, Don 2 and dirty picture...most big films were damp squibs for me ...ZNMD, Ra.one etc...,but ive seen worse films so thts fine...

I haven't watched a lot of films this year...I still haven't seen DB...ZNMD...MBKD...I want to watch Rockstar though but Bodyguard was disappointing :( haven't seen Ra One yet...yes Singham was a good film.

low budget quality movies with jhakas dialogues is my genre. & i'm disappointedly saying, this year i haven't watched any movie that has given me the same level of pleasure a Pyaar ki Side Effect, Welcome to Sajjanpur,... , or a Do Dooni Char gave. 😒

I disagree. I think we've had some good films this year. Liek ZNMD was good and I've heard Dehli Belly was good though haven't seen it yet. Also loved MBKD but maybe that is all. Cuz Bodyguard sucked and I've heard Ra.One ain't all that either and Ready was not that great either. All these big budget films suck badly...though I'm really looking forward to ROCKSTAR mainly and Don 2 as well!

An average year so far. Nothing spectacular but nothing horrible either. Still 2 months left to go. Let's see.

All those big budget ones like Singham, BG, Ready, RaOne were all good for one watch... I dont feel like watching them again...

well i luvd bodyguard didtn like Ready.. Ra one was amazing.. singham was good too..
