To improve: So I began to watch Bollywood films back in the day beause they were so different from the Telugu films that I usually watch, not the same fighting and madness. [Mind you, I still love Telugu movies] But in general, I wanted something different. This new trend of remaking movies from the South and Hollywood does not sit well with me. I watched them once already. I don't freaking want to watch them again in a different language, regardless of who the actor or actress is and whatnot.

Dunno, i just dunt like pretentious stuff...wannabe films...films which "try" to be all gr8 and epic and awsome but fall flat...I'd prefer an honest, albeit seemingly bad film over a pretentious one. I can tolerate all kinds of films, as long as i can see that the filmmaker is being honest and sincere and not too over indulgent. I'd watch a seemingly "bad" Singh is king or Dabangg over the likes of Guzaarish, Mausam, Saawariya etc because i find the former films sincere even though flawed, while the later tried too hard to be "epic", "guru dutt-ish" pseudo intellectual stuff...dunt get me wrong, i love intelligent cinema,but well made ones like Ishqiya, kaminey, A wednesday, Love sex aur dhokha etc...not the films which try hard to be one...

I detest the glossy rom com genere which produces films like Anjaana anjaani,break ke baad, IHLS, Bachna ae haseeno and such crap which try too hard to be "cool and hep"...I tend to prefer films based in india to the ones based in "abroad" catering to the so called "nri audience",because most of the times, such films turn out to be superficial rom coms/dramas which i HATE... i like films like Band baaja baraat, Do dooni chaar jab we met, Dev d, Dabangg, Om shanti Om etc because they cater more to the indian sensibilities, are unpretentious and have an inherent sincerity to them...

I want more films based in india,because im sick of ppl crying on Brooklyn bridge or times sqaure and mourning abt their sad love lives...

Also, concentrate more on the masala genre...if done right,it can do wonders (eg: dabangg)...we had brilliant films like deewar, sholay, Amar akbar anthony in the past which were all belonging to the Masala genre...so make more such films...but make them well...

I will go with other reasons, like an overdose of sentimentality and melodrama! The reason why I like is because Indian movies have a lot of heart in them...atleast most of them and they are very feel-good!
