i beg to differ there...the youngsters today are also very "cinematically inclined" ...they prefer good cinema too...most of my cousins, friends, ppl i know etc who study in hostels in india relate much better to his cinema like 3 idiots, RDB, DCH etc which connect better with the youth..

i was in IIT delhi 2 years ago when they screened ghajini and RNBDJ and there was a far bigger turnout for the former...

srk's fangroup is mostly the ladies, girls, NRIs etc...aamirs fangroup is youngsters and elite multiplex going audiences, whereas sallu has a grip on the common man...

CPR has a point. I always thought Aamir got the aunty fanfollowing and SRK's fans were their daughters, lol. Thankfully my mom and I both like Aamir. Actually, she liked SRK a lot too at one point of time but don't know what happened.

naah...my mums not too gaga over aamir or sallu...shes all abt srk and kabhie khushi kabhie gham kinda cinema...😆

My dad likes sallu better...he enjoys dishoom dishoom working class men kinda films...

My brother likes aamir...the kind of movies he does like 3 idiots, DCH, RDB and even the kind of films he makes - JTYJN, Delhi belly...the target audience is mostly youth...

i keep fluctuating...😆 because i like all their films...i can watch K3G with as much entu as DCH and Dabangg

I love Aamir too though. And I enjoyed the 90s Salman. :(

But Shahrukh has always been my childhood favorite and will always be!

@smartie: You also have a point. I have seen aunties like SRK a lot too. Maybe it's the Temptations concert I saw over the summer where there were screaming girl fans that is making me think like this. 😆 Anyways, I honestly didn't know Aamir's fans were more in the youth category.. or maybe it's because he hasn't had a true Bollywooe film out in the last 2 years that I can't tell, haha. All I know is that I love him and I'm fairly young.

Frankly when it comes to popularity all three Khans are in par with each other... Yeah even Aamir too...Other wise no way could they have survived this long if they were not widely liked and appreciated...

Yes...All of them have a target audience... No doubt abt it...But just catering to one kind of audience they wont have lasted this long... It has to be across the board and only then they can sustain...

I also agree that Salman and SRK have a massive fan following... And with Aamir you dont see that massive fan following but he has an universal appeal...
