action was the best , no slow motion action or Gunde flying in the air with one punch ...it was almost like 90's action ...but better than that ...best thing is mainly Villain did whole action without cables etc ...it was all Real

It will be really Sad if this movie will not be a HIT and crap like MBKD kinda movies get a HIT tag...BG chalo was a salman movie ...if Force was a salman movie it wld have broken all BG records too

My Review:

Ah!((: I said this last week when i watched Mausam and i am saying it again...there is nothing like the satisfaction of watching a good movie. <3 I am SO glad i decided to go catch it. I liked it so much...a lot more than i thought i would.

Okay...
So...Let me start by the #1 reason why i liked this movie so much. JOHN. Yesh, you read it right. I just said John! xD Ohmygosh. He blew me away...talk about improvement!! Im so glad he is finally getting to do movies as the lead "hero"...He deserves it!(: He did a fabulous job playing the character. Composed, surrounded...yet, sensitive and loving...he was bang on. && I LOVED the chemistry between Genelia and him. It was greattt. And i loved John's last couple of scenes. Specially the very last scene when he says something like "aaj ghar aane mein der hojayegi"...he said that line and the whole theater got SO darn quite. And you could hear all the sniffles. Haha. I contributed to that. Never in million years did i think John would make me cry...i am glad to say he did. 😆 Haha. Therefore, Mr. ACP is fantabulous!(;

Story...
Force has an interesting story line. I thought the story was going to be predictable but it totally wasn't. I haven't watched the original of this movie so to me the story was simple but freakin great. Loved it. Loved the ending too even though it wasn't a happy one. Everything fell in place perfectly and most importantly there weren't ANY dull moments. I wasn't bored. Thank goodness!(:

Next..
Genelia...i liked her a lot in the movie. And she also, has done a good job as the character. She is so cuteee. And everyone who thinks she is too bubbly and blah blah...i don't think she was over the top bubbly or annoying. She was adorable and suited the character. Again...her and John's chemistry is really good. They look uber cute together.

Music...
I am one of the few people that LOVE the songs of the movie. Lol. Its all so cute. Lol. I enjoyed them.

"The Villain"...
I don't know his name. Ooppss...sowie. Lol. But he was greattt...i hope i get to see more of him in this industry. He was FAB.

Everyone else...
Amazing cast, i must say. Everyone deserves to be mentioned because they are all a treat to watch.

Action...
The action sequences are breathtaking and thankfully not mindless. Sums it up in one word: Outstanding.

On the whole: Total paisa vasool. But if you are not an action type or don't like seeing lot of blood...this one is not for you. But highly recommend this!👍🏼

Rate: 8/10.

Force Has Heavy Fall On Monday

Tuesday 4th October 2011 10.00 IST

Boxofficeindia.Com Trade Network

Force fell heavily on Monday as it grossed 1.50 crore nett. It was on the cars as Saturday business dropped in practically every circuit. The film has now collected nearly 16.50 crore nett and the week is looking to close at around 19.50 crore nett. All circuits dropped even the ones where action fares do better.

The only circuit that held up a bit was West Bengal as it is a week long holiday there but even in West Bengal collections should be much more steadier considering holiday.

The trending of the film is worse than last weeks Mausam which had very bad trending and it is likely to finish around the 21.50 crore nett mark with a 10.75 crore distributor share which is very poor.

'Force' is okay, 'Saheb Biwi aur Gangster' tries, rest fail
Joginder Tuteja, IndiaGlitz [Tuesday, October 04, 2011]

Yeh toh hona hi tha. And it's doesn't really require a trade person or an industry expert to claim so; after all any person on the street can be expected to state that when as many as five films clash with each other, there are bound to be losses for most involved. This is what has happened for majority of films that arrived over the weekend gone by. As things stand out today, only 'Force' and maybe 'Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster' would be able to cover their costs with the rest - 'Hum Tum Shabana', 'Tere Mere Phere' and 'Chargesheet' turning out to be all around disasters.

Let's begin with 'Force'. It's 16 crores weekend has only ensured that the film stays afloat. Now whether this Nishikant Kamat directed film would see any further escalation is something that is waited with bated breath. Reason being that for it to reach shores comfortably, there is some distance yet to be covered. Having said that, in the bigger scheme of things where John had disasters like 'Jhootha Hi Sahi' and 'Aashayein' behind him with Vipul Shah not quite seeing good success with 'Kucch Luv Jaisa', 'Action Replayy' and 'London Dreams', these are still the results that are reasonably heartening at the least.

The other prominent release of the week, 'Saheb Biwi aur Gangster', has enjoyed an all around appreciation and if the film has taken a sub-par opening of just 4 crores, it has it's makers to be blamed entirely. There was hardly any awareness created and audience were not even sure about the film's release till it hit the screens. The film has potential to hang on but then there is competition ahead with as many as three new films in the coming weekend. Now that's disappointing since this Tigmanshu Dhulia film could be well enjoying a cult outing in years to come.

As for 'Hum Tum Shabana', the film has proven to be a shocking disaster. Frankly, one expected an opening in the range of 50% at the least despite the fact that it's promotion had seen a downfall during the fortnight leading to it's release. Still good music coupled with fairly amusing promos made one feel that this Tusshar Kapoor-Minissha Lamba-Shreyas Talpade film would see at least decent footfalls. However a mere 20% opening with just 1.25 crores coming in means that the film would be one of the biggest disasters of 2011, hence joining the likes of 'Game'.

'Tere Mere Phere' was made at a much lesser budget though but it's 1 crore opening weekend isn't something to cheer about either. Just like 'Hum Tum Shabana', even this Vinay Pathak starrer couldn't rake in good reviews and found complete rejection from the audience. As for 'Chargesheet', the only people who saw the film were special invitees and friends and family members of Dev Anand. The film merely saw a token release and didn't even make it to appropriate show timings in mainstream theatres.

Force forces other films out of theatres
By Subhash K. Jha, October 4, 2011 - 10:46 IST

It's probably never happened before. One film released this week has jostled all the other releases of the week from the theatres on Sunday.

According to reports from Fox-Star Studios, their production Force has taken over the shows in certain theatres allotted to Hum Tum Shabana, Chargesheet and Tere Mere Phere.

Understandably the producers/directors of the affected films are fuming. Says Sunil Bohra, the producer of Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster, "We are not affected. In fact our film has a growth of 40 percent over the weekend. It is the other three films (Hum Tum Shabana, Chargesheet andTere Mere Phere) which are affected. They had no opening on Friday and no shows in some theatres."

Fumes Sagar Ballary, the director of Hum Tum Shabana, "I am glad that Force and John Abraham have appealed to the audiences. But it's sad that Tamil remakes dominate Hindi cinema. Once upon a time South films copied Hindi films. Now we in Bollywood are so bankrupt of ideas that Tamil cinema rules us. Good for business, sad for talent in the Hindi film industry."

Avant-garde director Nishikant Kamat who earlier made some striking small-budget films, has suddenly struck gold. Force, a wince-inducing tale of blood and gore with enough brute force to turn female audiences off, has turned out to be a money spinner. A sure boon for the down-and-out hero John Abraham who was clearly not seen as the film's USP before its release.

Now Force has turned out to be such a hit that it is forcing the other smaller releases of the week out of theatres. Sunday onwards at least three of this week's releases - Deepa Sahi's Tere Mere Phere, Sagar Ballary's Hum Tum Shabana and Dev Anand's Chargesheet were replaced at several multiplex shows with Force.

Confirming these alarming and encouraging developments, Vijay Singh, CEO of Fox Star, says the box office figures for Forcehave surprised him. "We weren't counting on any major star attraction and the director had so far made niche films. What we were sure of was the action sequences. They had to be very different from what audiences have seen in Dabangg, Singhamand Bodyguard. We went into realistic action. And that has worked."

Curiously the film has got away with an UA (open to underage audiences under parental guidance) censor certificate in India when in major foreign countries the film has been certified for an adult audience.

The gore quotient, however, has kept audiences abroad away. Vijay Singh candidly admits the response in the US and UK has been underwhelming. "Better in the US. But not good in the UK. That's because it got an 'R' rating in the US and '18+' rating in the UK. In the US any film showing drug abuse, blood bath or guns automatically gets an 'R'. However it's doing fabulous business in the Middle East where it got an '18+' censor certificate. The film cost us only Rs. 18 crores to make. So it should be profitable."
