I know Aish is not in the league of a Madhuri Dixit or Sridevi or even Kajol, but she made a name for herself with credible performances in HDDCS, Devdas, Jodhaa Akbar, Provoked, Taal, Raincoat, etc. She did great work in these films and they were not just blink and miss roles. Rani and Preity may have had more hits and better performances, but the new generation of actresses cannot even do the body of work which Aish has done. What has Asin, Deepika, or even Sonam have to show for themselves? 😲 Aish wasn't even a trained actress. She got some good movies and proved herself. And lasting over 10 years in the industry is rare for an actress! So, I think she did pretty good for herself despite the fact she was never a hit making machine like Katrina Kaif! But, will anyone remember Kat's performance in Raajneti or her Sheila Ki Jiwani item number more?! 😆

I don't like Russell Peters, but the dude is a comedian. They make a living off offending others. And Ash is no exception. She doesn't deserve any special treatment.

Aish is extremely bad.

Provoked was the easiest role on earth. It was Nandita Das all the way. All Aishwariya had to do was look depressed and not say a word. She was horrible in HDDCS and Dhoom 2 was torture.

Makes you kinda appreciate actresses like Vidya Balan. All talent.

Aishwarya is a lot older than Rani and Preity and Urmila and Karishma and Kajol and yet she was behind them in terms of making a name for herself...And then you go ahead and compare her with the actresses who barely have 3-4 years under their belt so far???...

rani mukher ji's date of birth is 1978

aishwarya's is 1973

so what ioly 5 years..

but rani came in movies coz she did a srk movie..otherwise she would have been forgotten after raja ki aayegi baraat just like the hero of the movie

aishwarya did some choti moti movies.. but then she knew what she was doing..

but still I liked aishwarya that time too

about kats performance.. well if she had gotten national award for sheila ki jawani .. so intehaas mein zaroor hota🤣

but kat no i dotn think so.. maybe later as salman khans girl friend.. or the firangi who made a big in bollywood

coz hollywood didnt want her.. 😆

I would probably get hate coming my way if I said I agree with Russell, but I do, lol. It is his opinion, and it's just a joke. I don't think he meant any harm. Comedians make fun of tons of people; suddenly someone makes a joke on Aishwarya and it's like, "OMGGG!!!" Half the people defending Aish would have actually laughed at the joke if he used another celebrity they disliked, lol.

At the same, I guess Russell should have just not said anything. Knowing how the media is, they'd probably stretch and exaggerate the story to create drama and impact.
