The first day of shoot of UTV's 'Rang De Basanti' was special as it was at the famous Golden Temple in Amritsar. Those who've seen the promos cannot miss a shot of the sacred shrine in the background with Aamir Khan and his colleagues emerging from the holy lake (known as the Amrit Sarovar) before offering prayers. Not many know that after 15 years, for the first time was a film crew permitted to enter and shoot at this pilgrimage place. Interestingly, Aamir shot for the first time in North India and has adopted a Punjabi dialect in the film, which is something to watch out for!
