Sushmita Sen launches production firm

Actress Sushmita Sen has launched her production company Tantra Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. She has also started a company called Sensazinone Leisure Pvt. Ltd.
"Under Sensazinone Leisure Pvt. Ltd I plan to start a chain of hotels, lounges, spas and clubs. A project has already started in my hometown Kolkata. I may also buy property in Singapore for the same reason. Talks are on at the moment. The hotel and textile industry has always fascinated me. In fact I always wanted to get into the garment business and had imagined myself having a palatial office on the 16th floor of a skyscraper. I don't why I have always wanted an office on the 16th floor," she says. (laughs).

Tantra Entertainment Pvt. Ltd, Sushmita informed, was the banner under which she planned to make noteworthy films. "We have shot the television ads for Kiah, the diamond jewellery that I have modelled for, under Tantra Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. Besides that I have a group of researchers who are currently working on Rani Laxmibai — the epic that I am keen to make. There are a number of other scripts that I plan to work on. But I plan to begin with Rani Laxmibai. All this will take time and I don't mind waiting because I know it is going to be worth the wait," she adds.

When asked if she had approached director Chandraprakash Dwivedi for Rani Laxmibai Sushmita replies, "Yes, I had approached Dr Chandraprakash Dwivedi. I wanted him to help me with the research on film. Dwivedi is fabulous when it comes to doing research work. Also, I was impressed with his directorial skills in Pinjar. He then got busy with his film and I got bogged down with my film assignments. Rani Laxmibai was something I had mentioned to him off the cuff."
