Don't know whether to call her crazy or brave but she was somewhat different from her contemporary actress.It was reported that once a fan touched her chest an she didn't even waste a second but twisted his hands.I found that a brave thing.Earlier I used to like her personality.She was not like Rani whose main job was to lick media's feet.
But now I am confused.After constant rumours about Prety's addictions,smooching Vijay Malia in his private jet I think I will have to research on her to give my final verdict.

Just saw pics of her in Venice and I really wish she hadn't done anything to her face. I think she would have been one of those to age gracefully with those delightful dimples but her face looks so frozen and waxy now. Nothing delightful about it anymore. Too bad.

What is up with the media bashing of Preity just let her be? If she did surgery who cares if she want attention so even the younger actresses are doing all kind of things to their face be it lip job or nose etc. And even the younger actresses are looking for attention their PR spreading all kind news about them! 😉

Got the pic from google images, she was so gorgeous wasn't she? Still is actually. And alas, that's an old, old quote from Dilip, during the Naya Daur court case that's so notorious. Speaks to the feeling of the man then to make such a declaration in open court. I'd like to think that even though so much time has gone by, he still shares the same sentiment.

I'm a stickler of tragic love stories...the whole idea of not being with the person and years go by, but that one person was it! I feel the same way about Dev Anand and Suraiya...I always like to think that was his first and last love...I'm such a idealistis at times...it's sad. 😳

Yes, she totally is...I love the whole classical feel she has. There's something so 1950s HW about her face and expressions...like she's sexy but she's still got that innocent to her...you know?! Kind of like Greta Garbo.

Wow! I can't believe he declared that in court...I wish her family wasn't so cruel to her...she had such a long career ahead of her, but it was so sad to read about the crap she faced in her personal life. He would have been good for her though. He did love her loads.

Desperate times... Desperate measures... And I am not surprised...

Its a pity that things turned this way... She was someone who started out well... Someone with a non filmi background who made it to the A list of Bollywood... Very fiesty... outspoken...

But somewhere on the way I feel she lost track... Dope, Cocaine, Rehab, Involvement with married men, Sugar daddy rumors with the Amrohi guy... Too many scandals...

Hopefully they all are a thing of the past now and she is back on track now with her new show...

Good Luck with that...

Dev and Suraiya are a pretty sad story too. Have you read his autobiography? In it, he pretty much confesses that he never loved another woman like he loved Suraiya and he's still sort of in love with her. I really felt for him reading that. I think Dilip Kumar probably feels the same way even though he never ever talks about his relationship with Madhubala. It's all so tragic. Boo to interfering parents.

Totally agree with you about Madhubala; she was a sexy little innocent.😛 Her short life was too miserable for someone who was as beautiful and as lovely as her. She and DK were crazy in love and hung in there for seven years, but life doesn't always work out the way you so desperately want it to.

And just so this isn't a totally OT post, I watched Dil se again the other day and Preity was so natural and fresh in it. How times have changed.
