In Tell Me O Khuda, you work with your dad and Rishi Kapoor and Vinod Khanna. How challenging was it to hold your own around them?

With dad, it was a different equation because he's my father and we are very attached to each other. He gives me tips on how to handle my face. With Rishiji and Vinodji, I have known them since I was a kid, so even they treat me like their own child. With regard to holding my own, they all look out for me and want me to do my best.

How did you feel about Mr Bachchan declining a role in the film?

Jaya aunty has been very close to me right from my very first film, in which we worked together. We never took it badly at all. In fact, he had date problems. I am sure in the future, I'll get a chance to work with him.

Why was director Mayur Puri asked to leave the project?

There were creative differences between my mom and him. We thought it would be better if he wasn't involved anymore. But otherwise, I wish him all the best and hope he gets some good work and does well in life.

A better director-Hemaji or Puri?

That I am not going to say. Obviously, my mother is a very good director. She directed Shah Rukh Khan.

How come you decided to shoot with Salman at the last moment?

It was not a last minute thing. Salman bhai, right from the beginning, had told me that in your film, if there's a song, I am there in it. Bhai got to know about my shooting and called me up to say: 'Tell me where you want me to come and I'll come.' I couldn't have asked for anything more and so, I jumped at the opportunity to shoot with him.

Were you intimidated by him?

He and I are very chilled out with each other. We have travelled together and did a world tour in 2006. Plus, we did No Entry together. On the first day of No Entry, I was nervous, I admit. But we have warmed up to each other now.

With Dhoom, everyone saw a different side of you and expected to see more of you on the silver-screen. But that didn't seem to happen.

At the end of the day, as an actor, I like a script and shoot the film. The fate of the film is not in my hands. I tried to do a couple of more action films, which did average but nothing like Dhoom.

Will you ever wear a bikini again or was that an exception for YRF?

YRF shoots everything very aesthetically. They never make anything look cheap. So, I wouldn't trust any other filmmaker. I have been offered a lot of movies like that but I refused. If Yashraj offers me a role like that again, I'll jump for it.

Actresses are very comfortable using profanity on-screen nowadays. What's your take on it?

When you are playing a character, you're playing a character. Personally, I have done bold roles, but there is a certain limit that I'll go to, as far as foul language is concerned on-screen. The family background doesn't permit such things. I, as a girl, do not enjoy abusing. I do not think girls should abuse that much. Little bit here and there, theek hai.

What about kissing and intimate scenes?

(Animated) No! Little lovemaking here and there, I managed to pull off. But I am never going to kiss.

Hemaji said that she's on the lookout for a boy for you. Does this mean you are open to an arranged marriage?

I will fall in love, baby! Nothing arranged works for me.

Is there a special someone ?

(Blushes) I have got to be diplomatic and use the perfect statement that all actresses use - No Comment!

Do you think guys get intimidated by your father and brothers?

They do. But it works for me, most of the time. My dad and brothers are there, but I can handle the guys on my own also.

There were plenty of rumours about you being admitted into rehab.

I have no clue where that came from. When I read about it on the internet, it did upset me because it was not true. I have very protective parents. They know exactly what I do. I am a very responsible person. I work out. I do Odissi classical dance. Anyone who has to be admitted into rehab will not be able to do all these things. I believe what goes around, comes around.

Why didn't you say anything then?

If something is not true, why should I add more to some crap written about me? I was upset. I told my mom about it. The way I look, I behave, I am proof enough that I have never been to any rehab. I have denied these reports earlier, but you guys need some masala in my interview. Otherwise, my life is very boring, what will you write about?

Will Suhana Khan also meet the same fate as Tanisha and Esha Deol?

I feel she will end up just like them because Suhana really lacks the looks, glamour and talent! I mean she’s just NOT cut out for the glamour...
