People might not care if the beard and turban are fake, but the actor portraying it makes the character looks fake. As far as Anupam Kher is concerned, his wife is a Punjabi so he speaks pretty decent Punjabi. I'd prefer him over Rishi Kapoor's portrayal of a Punjabi in Patiala House any day. Nonetheless, i still stand by the fact that there are many American/Canadian/UK actors who are sardars they could have used if they wanted to attract the "western" audience.

Ya Patila House was cool . Very well done movie, too bad not much hype around it. All actors were great in it😊 Anushka-Akshay chemistry rocked, and so typical Punjabi atmosphere. Hard Kaur was good too and her rap was cool (though her rap in Singh is King ) was better. Rishi-Dimple chemistry. Overall enjoyed the movie.
