His intention could possibly be protecting his daughter, but the way he says it - "Women joining films never happens with dutt" etc, makes it sound sexist. On top of that he adds, how that's not what they have been bought up as and all - what does that even mean. You could be in a film industry and still be "safe" from all the negativity associated with the industry if you take the right path.

Its not the first time Sanjay has said something sexist, its who he is but I do believe he is trying to protect Trishala but based on her interviews she seems like someone who is headstrong and is very capable of taking care of herself. She's tough and I think she knows what she is getting herself into. At the end of the she's right it is her decision, she's an adult and Sanjay cannot stop her from pursuing something she obviously is passionate about doing.

😳 Well, he may sound sexist, but I think he just wants the best for his daughter like any other father! Bollywood is not the most glamorous lifestyle anyway. I think he is just protecting her best interests!
