i mean hes not like Akshay who was a waiter in Bangkok and got into movies and became a superstar! Ranveer's family is very wealthy... he studied acting in America like other star kids...

Nitu_s_deewani, why is being rich a problem again? Being rich has nothing to do with success as an actor. Ask Paris Hilton, her so called acting career did not go anywhere. Or closer to home, how about the big shot producer's son Jackie Bhagnani? He had a great launch pad with his daddy's money as well as one or two charity awards. Yet, he has not managed to garner similar hype as Ranveer. Also I find it very strange that you are negating his success. Sonam Kapoor is only here because she was born into a film family, I have no issues with star kids personally. But lets not forget that.

Just watched the episode. Definitely the best episode so far in this crappy show. Ranveer was just himself the whole time. Seems like such a genuine person. I felt for him when he started to cry. When you don't have a big connection in this industry there are horrible things you have to face before you can land your first film. Happy he didn't hide about the casting couch.

And the audience yaar. What kin of questions were they asking him? Name a gay director, who is the most overhyped director, etc. Even a person like Ranveer wouldn't dare to answer those questions.

He's so refreshing. A nice change from other celebrities in Bollywood. I really hope he gets a lot of success, definitely deserves it.

Btw, his rap and tapori song were amazing!

theres no denying he had some connections to the industry but i guess he made it on his own!

yeah like as you said he made it on his own! i didn't know about his parents or how rich they are until i saw this show. About other people..we get to know where they have come from or who they have connection with or who are their parents.. before we get to know anything about them. But this guy first proved himself and then celebrated it.

I'm 100% on Team Ranveer.

I liked this guy since his debut, now i'm a fan. He's a funny and smart, and he's honest without any inhibitions, but also means nothing malicious. Finally someone who is completely themselves and is still attractive. He isn't just a famous guy, its obvious that this is who he always was. Sure he gets overconfident sometimes and goes all out, but so what? let him enjoy his fame, i would much prefer that ranveer is the new face of cinema than ranbir or imran.
