Peepli live - i think m gullible that i liked it at first . everybody said oh its so good this n that..so i also had a preset mind that movie is good

but i dont i think ill ever watch that movie again...ya plot was good but

KANK: how can i forget i have to add that moviee.. sooo literally that movie sent out a message accross that all u people out there leave ur spouses... dont try to work out problems in ur marriage.. cheat on each other and then easily get out of it.. how soo convincingly cheap... i hateedd SRK and Rani in that movie they were stupiiiddd... well tht movie all over was idioticc.. made noo senseee..

edit: yeaaahhh KC because i like Akki too.. maybe thats why..😆

Like what was the need to do that in the first place? That whole Indian vs gora thing is so old...And the MNIK scenes with the black people in the church...like what the f?! They are not that pathetic, and KJo is lucky that not many of them even watch his films, because they surely would have kicked his ass! Singh is Kinng did something similar too, with a black guy begging and crying at Akki for help...so for Indians, it's always about showing that you're better off than the black guy and trying to prove you're better than the white guy...how regressive

I like namaste london...but that particular scene i hate...

so the white guy was being a jerk, but is it really necessary for akki to bhashan him about how many newspapers are circulated in our country, or how big our army is???...howz tht gonna prove anything? ..😕...he should have just said that our country has achieved many more things than you think and leave it at that.

the whole idea of patriotism is screwed up...saying "my country is great" is wonderful...but saying "its better than every other country" is iffy...we have to respect all cultures, races and countries alike...he says in the end of the scene that he dosent feel anyone is beneath or above him, but the condescending tone he spoke in says otherwise.

edit: yeaaahhh KC because i like Akki too.. maybe thats why..😆

KJo really butchered that one too...He didn't even handle their affair properly, or just what the impact was on both sides of the families...SRK and Rani fall in love and then they dance at Columbia University, yep that's a pretty accurate depiction right there😳

i agree kank was horrible...but i kinda get wht point it was trying to make...both maya and dev were in a marriage of convenience, and not of love..so the relationships with their spouses are not in the best shape. I dunt think it promoted infidelity...sometimes,therz just no spark in a relationship, and one cant help but think about calling it off...but the point i think was that if ur soo unhappy in a relationship,its better to break it off than to put urself and ur partner in the misery...

having said that, the way kank depicted it was horrible...it was more like rani and srk's characters were complete biatches for doing what they did to their spouses,rather than them actually undergoing huge emotional dilemma or trauma regarding their marriage...the screenplay was lousy, the acting was horrible, the music pedestrian, the dialogues unbearable and the emotions synthetic. The only one i "felt" for in the movie was abhishek's character...

I could still tolerate SRK and Rani's rude, insensitive and heartless behavior to their spouses. At least they were adults and could take emotional brickbats better. But, what was beyond the pale for me was the way SRK's character snarled and snapped at his own son for no fault of his own. What was KJo trying to show here? That to be a great extra-marital lover you have to be a rude SOB to your defenceless kids, to take out all your frustrations and anger on them? That part was beyond pathetic to me.
