Mithun Chakraborty has been approached for Aaditya Dutt's Dil Diya Hai, starring Emraan Hashmi and Ashmit Patel. A love triangle
Dil Diya Hai, written by Aaditya himself and produced by Shiv Films in association with Practical Productions, is a story of a upper middle-class girl who goes to Europe for a tour, meets Emraan Hashmi who is a travel agent and they both fall for each other.
Ashmit Patel runs illegal notorious activities and he also falls in love with this girl. The heroine, who will be a fresh face, is yet to be finalised. Mithunda ka fan
The late music maestro Laxmikant's grandson, Aaditya Dutt, who is directing the film, is excited about having the '80s star in his film, "I have grown up seeing Mithunda's films.
He is my hero. I always dreamt of working with him. I had a character in Dil Diya Hai. I met him in Hyderabad where Mimoh is shooting for his debut film and offered him the part. Mithunda liked the role and I can only thank him for that."
When contacted, Mithun told hitList, "I have yet to complete the formalities as far as signing Dil Diya Hai is concerned, but yes, I am certainly doing Aaditya's film. I have loved the role." Playing positive role
What's Chakraborty's role in the film? Aaditya is unwilling to give that away. "If I disclose that, it would give away the entire twists and turns in my film. All I want to say is that he plays a positive character who is very significant in taking the story forward," says the Aashiq Banaya Aapne director.
While Sameer has penned the lyrics, Himesh Reshamiya is setting them to tunes. Aaditya started shooting with Emraan and Ashmit, five days ago. Shooting for Mithun's portions will start in April. "I plan to complete the film in May and release the film by August," he signs off. |
