IMO, yes.

we the South Asians (not only SAs, all the emigrants do) always talk like -- "the South Asians do this" "that" -- if we are talking to our western friends about motherland.

now, the issue is that she didn't include the word "we" w/ that.

but, my Q. is: Why would she if she doesn't comply w/ the notion?! 😕

Things have changed a lot now... many of the mainstream bolly actresses are NOT fair .. and the biggest example is Priyanka Chopra and Deepika. I don't think that obsession for fair skin still exists in India... all though having a fair skin will always remain a kind of bonus in the Indian society.
