His name is Ryan and he inhabits The OC - the hottest, most happening TV show in America which has just arrived on Indian TV. Check out the action

It stands for Orange County, but nobody cares about that. Could have been called BC, ABC or any other combination of the alphabet as long as it had sexy Sandy and his wife Kirsten, Ryan and Seth - and all the girls around them. Just another routine series. Except that this one has taken American audiences by their eyeballs and glued them to the show.

OC (on Zee Cafe and soon on Star World too) is the story of the lives of the people who live in Orange County. It was an instant hit with the young to extent that millions of fan clubs, online communities, and discussion forums sprang up overnight. Today, the OC team enjoys a cult following.

The Plot
What is OC? A wealthy harbor-front community where everything and everyone appears to be perfect. But beneath the surface is a world of shifting loyalties and identities; of kids living secret lives and of parents living secret lives too.

It's also the story of Ryan, a troubled teen from the wrong side of the tracks who is thrust into a world and upon the Cohens. Ryan Atwood is taken up from the streets of Chino by the public defender Sandy Cohen and his wife, Kirsten. The Cohens had no idea how Ryan's arrival would change their lives and the lives of those around them. Their son Seth, finds a friend and a brother while Ryan falls in love with the beautiful girl next door, Marissa Cooper. But their romance is ill-fated, constantly tested by their pasts. It's hard to be as nice as the 'anti' hero Ryan but Marissa does a good female impersonation. What's more she's nice and easy on the eye. Seth Cohen (Adam Brody)
What he always wanted but was afraid to ask for is a brother. Enter Ryan. Seth is socially awkward, a bit of a wise-ass and, despite his best efforts to appear otherwise, full of secret longings. Sandy Cohen (Peter Gallagher)
Sandy Cohen is the poor little Bronx boy who married the sad rich girl Kirsten and lived happily ever after until his wife prefers alcohol to him and he gets lonely.

She's smart, loving to husband and child but also a shrewd businesswoman. Kirsten is strong in armor, and pulp fiction inside. She will face many challenges - father's remarriage, the existence of a half sister and the disappearance of Seth. Bring on the booze.
