I guess he is too over-hyped

I don't know how DB will turn out,but seriously
Most of movies are average or maybe a little more than that...

I don't want this thread to be a kurukshetra,just wanted your opinions!

PS him naming his dog Shahrukh was sooo disgusting 🤢

Yeah him naming his dog SRk was beyond disgusting. I lost my respect for him after that. I really am neutral about him. But the dog thing, that really was stupid thing to do.

And to answer your question: No I don't think he is over confident...I just think he is a perfectionist I guess. This is the way he likes to do his job and it's working for him. But really, am not too big of a fan of his films. I didn't like 3 idiots that much. And my mom loves Amir, and she couldn't finish 3 idiots. It was too boring for her.

^ yeah she did. She didn't actually finish it either because she was too bored. We were watching it together, and she got up and went and talked on her phone. I didn't like 3 idiots that much either. I like the message of the film and all, but it was a bit I don't boring I guess. It's not a film I will watch again for entertainment.

Aamir khan z a superrb actor...donno he z over-confident or not but he's kaafi confident...his movies r fab(not all 😉)...
i like him as an actor...

BUT BUT offscreen don like him...naming his dog Shahrukh was d cheapest thing ever...he has hurted SRK,his family nd his fans :(...

but he's a very gud actor :)...i like 3 idiots,TZP,mann,JAANE TU nd many more...

LOL... Too many points to be discussed... Let me state my point of view one by one...

Is Aamir over-hyped
Hmmm... Which superstar is not overhyped... Forget these superstars even the mediocre ones are overhyped and overrated...

So yes I agree he is overhyped but I also have to say he does deliver too... In recent times all his movies in the last couple of years have been a good watch and I do look forward to his movies...

Is Aamir just Overconfident

Yes he is and so are any of the successful actors... Forget the actors... Even a common person who gets a fair amount of success after a while starts getting overconfident...So I guess its all a part of the package...

Is Aamir really a perfectionist...

Oh well... Everyone needs a USP to sell their movies... Everyone needs some kind of hype... some kind of aura...some kind of enigma...some kind of suspense... some selling point... In his case he knows that the perfectionist tag is his selling point, his USP and he markets that and it works...

And coming to the last point... Regarding naming his dog after SRK... Yeah I did think it was distasteful and a below the belt comment...

Anyways... He is no different from the rest of the celebs who look for publicity at any given chance... Its just that he is more subtle atleast most of the times and gets away with it compared to others and others who are more vocal get tagged with the publicity hungry tag...

he is way to better than his contemporary.. he delivers good movies and his production house come up with diverse genre...

as for 3 idiots! I am pretty sure those who stayed in Hostel and studied under Indian educational system can relate to it and must have enjoyed it.. I am one of them.

shahrukh has been no less...for years he had been taking digs at AAMIR...aamir used to stay quite but he continued...of course anyone can be provoked...and his reaction has been natural..although it was a bit overboard i agree and i m sure he must have been feeling bad abt tht but he cant be blamed becoz shahrukh welcomed it on his own..why don't people talk abt the provokation from shahrukh first? ..

and he is perfectionist or not? u should ask the people and the media who has named him tht...he himself never calls a perfectionist or tht sort...

and which star is not overhyped? r u trying to say other stars r not overhyped salman, srk? haven't their movies been pathetic? has anyone seen HELLO BROTHER. has anyone seen DUPLICATE what are these...oscar winning PIES...

evey star has his own pros and cons...its upto us for which quality we like or dislike them...
