Slideshow - Amitabh Bachchan's 'Bbuddah' creates more buzz than Salman Khan's 'Ready'!

'Bbuddah...Hoga Terra Baap' more eagerly awaited than 'Ready'

BIG B RULES!

The magic hasn't waned yet. Four decades in the film industry hasn't taken the sheen off Amitabh Bachchan's charm. Even at 68, he can give the reigning superstars a run for their money. That's what the new ApunKaChoice poll seems to suggest.

In our latest poll we focussed on the spate of new Bollywood releases in the coming months of June and July and asked the voters to pick out the one they are most eagerly waiting for. The choices were the films that are creating a lot of buzz - Ready, Delhi Belly, Bbuddah - Hoga Terra Baap, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Mausam and Double Dhamaal.

We received 4625 votes and the competition in the poll was between Salman Khan's Ready and Amitabh Bachchan's Bbuddah. Interestingly, the Big B's film got 46 percent votes and emerged the most eagerly awaited movie. The film's cool promos that promise the reinvention of Big B's 'Angry Young Man' of yore has certainly latched on to the movie buff's fancy.

Salman's Ready was just close behind. How many votes it and other films got? Read on ahead.

READY

When you have the star of the biggest blockbuster of 2010 (Dabangg) spearheading the cast, expect a bum rush at theatres. Director Anees Bazmee'sReady, starring Salman Khan and Asin in lead roles, came second in the poll with 45 percent votes.

ZINDAGI NA MILEGI DOBARA

Hrithik Roshan is still reeling from the debacle of two films Kites and Guzaarishon the trot. He hopes to break the jinx with Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, starringKatrina Kaif, Abhay Deol, Farhan Akhtar and Kalki Koechlin. The film got 4 percent votes and came third in the poll.

DELHI BELLY

"Bhaag DK Bose" is already a rage and the film's grungy look coupled with its risqu subject makes Delhi Belly one of the most promising films this year. However, Imran Khan and his gang comprising Vir Das and Kunaal Roy Kapoor don't feature high on the wishlist of the movie buff. They got a meagre 2 percent votes.

MAUSAM

Shahid Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor's love story in Pankaj Kapoor's directorial debut Mausam tied up with the Delhi Belly bratpack for the fourth spot with 2 percent votes.

DOUBLE DHAMAAL

Comedy may be the flavour of all seasons, but Double Dhamaal, starring Sanjay Dutt, Mallika Sherawat, Arshad Warsi, Ritesh Deshmukh and Aashish Chaudhary came last in the poll with just one percent votes.

Bachchan records India's first 'Acapella' track for Bbuddah

The superstar creates a new record by singing the title track of his forthcoming film Bbuddah - Hoga Terra Baap in 'Acapella' style - a first ever in India!

For those who are new to the concept, Acapella music is a solo or a group vocal or singing without any instrumental sound. Interestingly, music directors Vishal - Shekhar had been planning to do something unique with Mr. Bachchan since quite sometime and they came up with the idea of using the acapella style to create a memorable number for Bbuddah. When the duo approached Mr Bachchan with this suggestion, they were in for a pleasant surprise when the actor immediately agreed to do it!

Music director, Shekhar Ravjiani, elaborated, "We wanted to try something new with this song. We did the basic setup and then Mr. Bachchan replaced every track with his voice. He recreated the sounds of approximately 10 to 12 instruments, from drum to bass to the snare to the chorus. In a nut shell, he did everything required to make a song!"

A source from the film says, "Given Mr. Bachchan's multi-talented persona, it is no surprise that he took this challenge up very sportingly and was very excited about doing something new. He gave his best and the result is for everyone to see. Every sound you hear in the title track is created by Mr. Bachchan himself! This is the first time that the 'Acapella' style of singing has been used in Indian cinema and we owe it to Mr. Bachchan for introducing us to something so unique!"

The film releases on July 1.
