Hotlinking is taking images from someone's server and using them on your own page by linking them...what sig makers in IF basically mean most of the time when they say "do not hotlink" is that you shouldn't copy the url of the image alone, but SAVE it and upload it again just in case the original image was deleted (sort of like the tinypic thing that happened recently)...The sig makers just don't want to get pms from members asking them to re-upload their images😆

Like Koolchick explained save it on your computer and then upload it to imageshack or imgur and use that link😳
