Ajay Devgn wants revenge

Ajay Devgn is simmering. And the 37 degree summer temperature in Mumbai has nothing to do with it! The saturnine star has turned shades of purple and blue (Oops! Bhansali's fave colour) because Sanjay Leela Bhansali has said in a recent interview that Ajay really has no business calling himself Bajirao in Rohit Shetty's July release Singham.
SLB has been wanting to make a film called Bajirao Mastani for years. The title is registered with him, and he feels it isn't fair that the title of the film has now become a character that Ajay is playing in Singham.
After hearing about Sanjay's comment, Ajay who is usually slow to react got slightly sensitive and asked a close aide on the set, 'Why has Sanjay taken a potshot at me? Is it wrong to call a character in my film Bajirao just because Sanjay has registered the title Bajirao Mastani a decade ago and has done nothing about it?'
A source present on the set says, "The Bajirao discussion took on heated proportions.
And it has a backstory as well." Apparently, Ajay and Rohit had wanted to title their film Bajirao Singham. Ajay had even mentioned this to his buddy Salman Khan. However, they knew that Sanjay would not allow them to use the name Bajirao or part with his title, just like he had refused to oblige Rani Mukerji when she had asked for the title Hadippa during the Dil Bole Hadippa days. So instead of going through the humiliation of asking Sanjay and having him refuse them, Salman advised Ajay to call his character Bajirao Singham but to keep the film title as just Singham. Ajay thought Salman's suggestion made sense. However, he was appalled that despite this, Sanjay still cribbed.
Now there is a twist to the tale. We hear Ajay and Rohit are considering taking their war with Bhansali to the next level and will reportedly call Kajal Agarwal, the heroine of Singham, Mastani in the film. The usually forthright and frank Rohit remained unavailable for comment. And Ajay refused to say anything on record but we can see this name game turning into an interesting blame game. After this no one dare ask — What's in a name? Lots is!
