Katrina Kaif has always been extremely serious about her career. It's her drive that has brought her to this point. But the actress is not satisfied just being. Now, she wants to do some good work that will remain for posterity. So the actress has started sending messages to directors she'd love to work with. We hear that she sent several messages to Pankaj Kapur, evincing interest in his directorial debut Mausam. Pankaj it seems was spoilt for choices. Since he wanted a younger looking actress, the dice was cast in favour of Sonam Kapoor.

good choice... i think sonam will be great in mausam!!😊 hope sonam will shut peoples mouths with her acting in mausam!!! i dont think kat couldve pulled off the look needed for the character...

lol I think Bebo was the first choice for this and then Katrina or PC, but Katrina refused the movie and it eventually went to Sonam. It looks amazing, can't wait!

I'm glad Sonam is doing it she looks so beautiful in the stills and Shahid looks cute! I hope this film does well for both Shahid and Sonam.
