being 4m same anuraag kashyap definately it will be a good piece of work as DEV D ... but story line is different from it 😆😆😆

The team of Shaitan had a blast while shooting for a particular scene at Marine Drive in quite the literal sense.Marine Drive in quite the literal sense.

Says a source "The team was shooting for a scene at Marine Drive but a few minutes into the shoot and they were pulled in to join in the celebrations with the crowd -Kalki,Rajeev,Shiv Pandit,Kirti Kulhari and Gulshan Deviah quite literally celebrated Diwali on Marine Drive."

An impromptu decision ,director Bejoy Nambiar decided to keep the cameras rolling -

Mumbai- Following the success of Udaan, Rajat Barmecha has been roped in to play the role of a villain in Anurag Kashyap's upcoming production venture Shaitan.

His role of a teenage rebel in his previous film Udaan gained him recognition. An elated Rajat stated that he will be seen in a cameo in Shaitan. His role in this film is very much different from his role in Udaan.

In the upcoming film he will be seen playing the role of a negative character. The role is merely 2-3 minutes long, but he loved doing it. The film will be directed by debutant director Beejoy Nambiar.

The story of the film revolves around a group of youngsters in Mumbai which includes actors like Nikhil Chinappa, Kalki Koechlin, Rajit Kapoor and Sheetal Menon playing pivotal roles.

Following the unprecedented success of his previous film Udaan, Rajat became extremely choosy and conscious with respect to selecting films as he does not want to let down his fans.

The 22 year old actor added that apart from films, he is also busy doing a lot of endorsements. He has numerous offers in hand but has not decided any as of now.

He stated that Udaan was a fabulous film which earned him success, recognition and appreciation and as a result he wants his second film to create the same magic in the box office.

Kalki Koechlin who recently tied the knot with her longtime beau and filmmaker Anurag Kashyap will be seen in a sexy avatar in her upcoming film, 'Saitan'. She will don a two piece in the movie. Generally, Kalki feels uncomfortable in donning sexy outfit but Anurag made her feel comfortable.

Confirming the same, Kalki said, "I am always wary of wearing anything that is slightly sexy. But finally it depends on who you are working with and how they make you feel.'

The upcoming flick 'Shaitan' is being directed by Bejoy Nambiar. Apart from Kalki, the movie stars Rajeev Khandelwal, Neil Bhoopalam, Shiv Pandit, Kirti Kulhari and Gulshan Devaiah.

Talking about her character in the film, Kalki disclosed, "She is an awkward, geeky kid who suddenly meets these rich Mumbai kids who lives on their fathers' credit cards. She tries to fit in to be this cool girl, but underneath she is very vulnerable. It is exciting to play this vulnerable and cool combination.

Characters:

Rajeev Khandelwal: Inspector Arvind Mathur
Inspector Arvind Mathur is a sincere, honest and upright police inspector who specializes in kidnapping cases. Quite often, his sincerity towards his profession and the angst within has got the better of him, both at work and at home. He seeks to do his job as honestly as he can, despite repeated warnings from his boss. Mathur, a seasoned veteran in complicated, high-profile cases, has been previously suspended for his heavy-handed (though successful) dealing with people and systems that his conscience doesn't agree with.

Kalki Koechlin: Amrita Jayshankar aka Amy
Attractive, aggressive teenage daughter of a rich NRI. Amy has just returned to India with her father and stepmother. Her mother's death at an early age has left Amy insecure and made her a loner. She prefers to live life in her own world and takes refuge in her music and her mother's memories.

Shiv Pandit: Dushyant Sahu aka Dash
Retired at 23, Dushyant lives life on his own terms - no family, no relations, no history. This macho guy sells dope for a living and lives on a high of the 'powder'. A shady past that includes underworld contacts; he has been there and done that. Rarely flustered, his cool attitude and wild tattoos make him the fascination on Amy's life.

Gulshan Devaiya: Karan Chaudhary aka KC
He has the money, he has the style and he has the women. Life is one big party for this dude. 'Fun' is his middle name - booze, sex and drugs rule his life. A quirky sense of humor and a temper which tends to go beyond control. KC is the guy who ensures that the party never ends.

Kirti Kulhari: Tanya Sharma
Tanya - Pretty & petite. Tanya wants to be a supermodel. Or does she? Actually, her sister wants her to a supermodel. Working her way through numerous nameless ads, Tanya wants to break free.
