@goneforever, I totally agree with everything you just said!!!! I used to love Salman back in the day. His performance was intense in Maine Pyar Kiya and Hum Aapke Hain Koun. He blew me away. But in the late 90s and early 2000s, he started to get cheesy. There was too much of taking his shirt off and his performances were not that strong anymore. Now he mostly does roles and comedies that are silly, which are not improving his status as an actor. And even though he's in this 40s, he's still doing young roles and keeps taking his shirt off. I miss the old Salman when he was young, cute, innocent, and had intensity in his eyes.

Yes def he was better in the 90s. Now all he does is sleep walk through his films. I gotta give it up for him in Dabangg though. He did put some effort into the character.

hmm. I think actors go through different phases in their careers, and in the 90's Salman Khan was still acting in a way that if he was still trying to win over fans and widen his horizon. I think in the past 5 years Salman Khan has evolved into a brand, a 'salman khan' film now guarantee's masala, action, comedy etc etc. He has his core fanbase in place now, and he really is a powerhouse on his own. I'm not a huge fan of his, but i must say his success has peaked and his primary concern right now is probably how to maintain that success and transform it into something else, i don't think its how much more he can prove himself as an actor.

how can u even ask that obviously i luvd him more in the 90s thats when i became his dewani at an age of 6.. i still remember whenever dad used to come with a video tape i was hoping it to be aakash - his name in sajaan.. lol

i am one of those who camr to know him after 2000. in my idea his best performance r those which flopped. by the way he was terrific in tere naam. kyon ki. jaan-e-man. garve. heros and many more. i think some speial appearance were destrying his carear but he is more concoius noe. i still adore him. no change for me

Yeah he was definately a better actor in the 90's .. atleast his movies were watchable. I miss the old Salman :(
