Is Freida Pinto really an average looking girl?

Freida Pinto is a budding star in the West, one of USA's L'Oreal ambassadors, who has been hailed one of the most beautiful women in the world.

Whereas the West finds her incredibly pretty, ironically, India doesn't even consider her good looking.

I came across that picture and couldn't help but notice the striking resemblance between the two. That is a pretty Freida, after her international makeover and the photoshopping done on her magazine cover. And the other one is just a random South Indian girl.

My question here is - is the other girl in the picture also one of the most beautiful women in the world... or is Freida just another average looking girl?

I think all are beautiful, the mroe natural = the better
what is uglly when people start putting their vanity and ego in place and forget being humble... its their attitude that makes them ugly

And so??? Every random girl looks like Freida Pinto doesn't mean Freida or the random girl are not pretty. Most beautiful in the world...seriously how do people know who is the most beautiful? All these lists are just chosen from actresses/models who all have been groomed and styled....there are countless people in the world who can also feature on those lists....e.g. one of my cousins...she is 40+ I can still stare at her all day...

Freida is the flavor of the west right now people like her beauty....she is unique to that culture...they think she is stunning....yes in India she won't be considered anything unique or exceptional. There is no absolute truth about beauty.

I feel like Freida's beauty and success has been discussed multiple times in this forum. It's getting kinda repetitive. She's also not a Bollywood actress..so it doesn't make sense to post articles on her here.

But anywho.. to answer your question. I think people see Freida as an exotic beauty and thats why many Americans like her. And even if she is "average".. so what? It's nice to see average-looking people in the film industry as well, instead of glamorous-glamorous all the time.

there is no one universal standard for beauty.. it varies.. India, generally speaking, has a pretty biased audience and has its set standards... which is quite sad...

So just because she's not fair and doesn't happen to look like Aishwarya Rai or Katrina Kaif she's ugly or 'average'? I personally find Freida infinite times more prettier than Katrina. She's naturally gorgeous. Aishwarya has started looking more and more like her mannequin from madame tusssauds. I def do not think she ever deserved the 'most beautiful women on earth' tag. She was very pretty, but not the prettiest.

but the thing is.. we need not put one woman down to praise another ones beauty.. quite a double-standard.. its unfair to them.. that too only because they are fair/tall and fit the universal def of beauty doesn't mean we have to put them down.. i think Ash is gorgeous.. and Frieda is quite pretty too.. and so are the 3 Aish lookalikes standing on every corner..

ps. i am out of hatorade today..😆
