The most recent controversy on twitter was on Nikhil Dwivedi's film Shor. The actor was apparently miffed that he was not featured in the poster of his upcoming movie Shor. "I am a bigger and better actor than Tusshar and Sendhil." He tweeted. "Sorted" he tweeted again in his @Nikhil_Dwivedi account when he was shown the reworked poster.

Then there was Nikhils buddy SRK whose two months absence on twitter created a hype around Ra.One.

Before this it was Bipasha who posted a picture of two girls tying her shoe laces. Beneath the picture, Bips had written "I need to learn to tie shoe laces ASAP! Embarassed that I can't! No patience.. grrrrr! Promise I am not spoilt! Will learn soon."

Seeing the outrage of the users, the dusky beauty removed the post immediately, but she forgot to remove the picture from the site. Her upcoming movie is Dum Maaro Dum.

Well dah, we all know the big reason stars are on twitter is to promote their films.

Well we KNOW that SRK is not on Twitter to promote his films. He said so in a TV interview he gave a few days before he came back on Twitter after a 4 month long absence...to...promote...his...upcoming...film...

yes, A lot of stars use twitter and other social networking sites to promote their movies. Everyone knows that, I don't think there's anything wrong with that, unless if they completely disappear and come back just to promote their movies, then it gets annoying.

obviously.... what is so surprsing in it....?

ALL of the stars are there to promote themselves and their movies... 😛😛😛

and keeping in touch with the fanbase is sort of entailed in the job... if a star is rude to their fans, he'll only be losing the fans... even stars who are not doing well at the box office, keep in constant touch through twitter, so that they are not forgotten...! 😛😛😛

Does Nikhi seriously think he is a bigger star than Sendhil who at least has an international film to his name? I find Sendhil hot.

Hrithik is the worst culprit- he is on twitter only when a movie comes up for promotion.

SRK was laughable- He went on NDTV last week saying twitter is not for him and then a few days later he used it to promote trailers for Ra One.

There is nothing wrong with promoting your films on twitter, but there is something wrong when stars say that they are not on twitter to promote their films or that they never promote themselves on twitter when they actually do.

i dont mind the stars that talk about their films thats their job there is nothing wrong in talking about it, the stars that just show up a few weeks before their film releases than disappear again are the annoying ones, they act like they joined to connect with their fans when they are really their to promote their films. Almost all of them joined twitter right before one of their film was about to release
