She didn't date anyone before Akshay, her parents were very strict when she first started out in the industry and even then disapproved of Akshay and had curfew times and what not.

Bechari Shilpa got played big time by Akshay, and was very heartbroken by it all. She poured her heart out about it all when she was on the UK version of Big Brother.

Umm I have heard some stories about Shilpa's mom being ready to do anything to get her daughters into movies. This included getting her daughters to do anything with directors, producers etc. Lets remember that Shilpa didnt come from a filmi family so she had to come up the hard way in Bollywood.

Oh yeah Mrs Shetty is supposed to be a nightmare to deal with and very controlling when it comes to her daughters. But it wasn't always like that, she's got worse over the years🤢
