and why do some people keep on saying Deepika acts like a victim...she acts nothing like that! The gal had the balls to come out in the open and let people know she was cheated on...whilst guy was going around behaving like a gentleman who is all respectful and caring towards his ex....she blew his lid!! Who'll have so much courage to do what she did? In my perspective she refused to play a victim and stand up for herself. And yeah thats very brave!!

Well now that I think about it, Deepika is the victim but it's just we are not empathetic people anymore. EVeryday we learn something new, and today I learned that no matter what the victim goes thru, we always question the victim because we're either just not empathetic or we turn a blind eye in order to protect false images of our secure world. We don't want to believe that bad things happen in our world.

I was reading a book by an American woman who was raped in France, and she writes how folks pitied her that she was raped but they questioned her..."Why did you not take precautions?".."Why were you out in the night?".."Why weren't you dressed appropriately?"....what's she suppose to say when she was out for a jog in broad daylight wearing sweat pants???? It's so sad but the victim is not empathized with, but questioned because we don't want to believe that atrocious things can occur in the world we live in....we like to think that we would have acted differently if someone tried to harm us...or we wouldn't have dated a man like Ranbir....but the truth is that when such things are happening to us, it's different.

We're just not an empathetic bunch of folks due to our own selfish reasons. It's always easier to question and point out the wrong.
