Im not implying that anyone is a celeb, and according to some people on I-F even Sonam is a nobody. My initial post was just on my observation of the type of remarks made.

Lol a film is called a success when people enjoy it which didn't happen with Aisha..
I love Sonam but the film was boring and nobody went to watch it seeing the reviews YES not even kids 😛

So in the end Abhay only gained a flop with doing Aisha.. and maybe a few Sonam Abhay jodi fans but there are very few 😊 and saying that he needs her for publicity is just a dumb statement 😆

Dev D is a commercial film and it was Abhay Deol's biggest hit.

Quoting Anurag Kashyap, "Dev D is an all-out commercial venture that would break my art house image."

But it hurts when the lead actor with whom you shared a good camaraderie speaks out against a film after its release. Abhay got a good debut thanks to his uncle and cousin but he was smart enough to understand that he doesn't fit into the regular bollywood lead actor label. He is a self-proclaimed thinking actor. Yes, he does different films but triumph is when others appreciate your work. He needs to be consistent first.
Anushka probably gets away with her haughty comments because her work makes her statements credible. That's not the case with Sonam.

I really enjoyed the film and Sonam and Abhay's onscreen pairing. Some people say it was a flop some people say it did fine. Im unaware of the statistics of how many people went to watch the film, but everyone who i spoke to who watched it, and from the reviews i read, they enjoyed it. For a film to be a success, it isnt necessary for it to break box-office records, and as previously mentioned in this topic, Aisha recovered its costs and did fine.

The part in bold....no idea where you got that from. Abhay is an established actor and has his own niche, Aisha didn't exactly damage his career.

Films that are made for the commercial sector are made on the basis to target a wide range of audience i.e so they are more commercially viable. I don't think Dev D comes under that due to its content.

However, she never said 'Abhay needs me to create controversies to make headlines'.......

Abhay doesn't tend to make the headlines that often anyway (compared to other actors), and him starting this controversy has got him talked about....otherwise, how often do people talk about him on I-F?

Oh im not one to mention names. Im sure members can work out and clearly know what statements are rude! I'd be insulting their intelligence!

Actually, what is strange is how no one around here seems to use the 'no offense' line anymore at the end of their posts. Now that one was a classic!😆
