@Shabnam: How old is the girl? What website was it?

If she wants to meet him, then make sure its in a public place in broad daylight. At a coffee shop thats very busy is usually a great,sane idea. If it does not work out, you can have a quick sip, say hello and tata. Lunch dates can be awkward if the person isn't what you thought he was, so better to make it casual,public and low key. And make sure he comes to a place near her area and not vice versa. Come in your own cars too.

Last word of advice, online dating is very tricky. Online dating usually does not translate very well in real life. Sometimes you may think you know that person really well, but you'd be surprised at how shocking some first meets can be. So if I were her, I'd keep my expectations very low.

I'm sorry for the laughing emoticons but what more an I supposed to do? If a friend of yours tells you, "omg he's gujju like me and sooooo hot so lemme add him" then what more are you supposed to do besides rolling your eyes? I'm not making fun of the situation, but at her reasoning. I've tried from my side, but with people like these sensible talks go in one ear and out the other. It's only to an extent that I can take a "reasoning" like that seriously.

Thanks for the words of wisdom everyone and without a doubt I agree with all of you. One can only advise to a certain extent and as far as I know, nothing I say or do can help and whatever that girl wants to do, she'll do. I'll just hope for the best and not sure if I'll go but I'm wishing that I have a college event to attend on the same day. College excuses = perfect for everything. 😆

Facebook and twitter? 😆 Those are the safest websites for meeting men, and I'm not even being sarcastic. People hook up on craigslist and sugardaddy.com....so your friend is sane....relatively. As for advice, you can't do anything really. You can't tell her to not meet him because she won't listen to you, She's got blinders on right now. All you can do is advice her to be safe and take precautions and keep her expectations low. The last one is key. 😉
