I don't understand your question. To me it seems that a Philandering husband would want his freedom the most. wouldn't he? To move on to greener pastures.

If this is true for AB senior, JB by not letting him go has punished him hasn't she? She is a strong woman. And I call her smart bec she could still keep her family together. Her husband may cease being one to her. But he was still a father to her growing kids, and a " DUTIFUL" ( not my term) media created son to his parents.

Unlike Prakash who till this day hasn't said a word about Dharmendra's affair.

Most philandering husbands remain married because marriage is an easy fall-back plan, while they can have misstresses and go about their ways while still having the best of both lives.

Especially in bollywood, cheating husbands dont want freedom, they want to keep up the good image and have fun times on the side.

These film wives should give their husbands a kick in the ass and not help them with the charade. Jaya may be the only one who has stoped Amitabhs philandering ways, and if she still loves him after his high-scale affair, then kudo's to her. Her patience, forgivness and unwavering faith may have paid off, and i hope she lives her life peacefully.

But to the other wives, don't stay for the children. Don't stay for the glamour. A seperated marriage in which atleast you are not faking happiness is a much better environment for children to grow in than a broken home with limited love.

why do people get married in the first place? I just dont get it. They can stay single and have as many affairs as they want.

Monogamy is not for all esp in showbiz when you are surrounded by attractive women / men all willing to throw themselves at you.

Well I never thought of the whole thing in this light. I have to agree with it.

But in real life vs these celebrities, I have seen some marriages where the MAN becomes desperate and wants to get out. And ironically the wife does give him a divorce.

Bollywood is not the norm in Indian society. And most of the times..they are a moral less society.

@KripaRajput: I agree, both sides to the coin do exist. There are husbands who want out and husbands who want to keep up the charade. I think mostly what im trying to say is that you should try to maintain your own happiness, especially if you are on the recieving end of cheating.

If keeping a family together and trying to forgive and forget is your version of happiness, so be it, infact such instances have worked before, families have been re-uinted and harmony has once again been found.

If your husbands wants to be free, i don't see how locking him down will make you or him happy. its lose-lose. Be with those who love you back, be with those who love you equally.

For Jaya, i hope she has found peace.

Can anyone explain why Jaya agreed to act in a movie with her husband and his mistress,playing the exact same roles that was going on in real life? That doesn't sound very smart to me!
