Bottom line is, Ms. Chammak Challo is slowly losing me as a fan (of bebo the actress). I still love Kareena the person. How strange na?
I used to love her for doing the unconventional when ohters were just doing glam dolls. Her refugees and asokas, her chamelis and Dev, omkara's and jab we mets. Hell even aitraaz and flops like Kyon Ki.So at the moment, I'm more of a Saifeena fan than a Kareena fan. When Agent Vinod or Aamir's film releases. Or Stand By Me, I might awaken yet again.
To be fair, very, very few actors have the guts to do unconventional/small-banner films, especially when they are being flooded by offers after offers from big banners. In the case of Kareena, she did those offbeat films and experimented with her work when she wasn't getting any huge offers from the big banners (or the ones that she did get - those tanked very badly both commercially and critically). Now that she is getting films from big banners and those are doing well too - I can't say I am really surprised with her choice. Most people don't like taking risks and that's a fact.
Moreover, Kareena has already proven her worth in the industry with both critically and commercially successful films. She has been in the industry for over a decade and made a career for herself. So now she can chose to work as she wish. But I understand that it's quite a disappointment for us who like to see Kareena in off-beat roles like Dev over a Golmaal.
