Midweek B.O.: 'YPD' collects Rs 22.8 cr in Weekend 1, excellent

Plus, a captivating second half	First half is sloppy. Romantic portions don't work	Collected approx. Rs. 22.8 cr nett in Weekend 1 [early estimates], which is excellent in view of the fact that the Deols and also director Samir Karnik haven't had a smooth run at the box-office. The breakup:- Fri: 7.95 cr, Sat: 6.60 cr and Sun: 8.25 cr. The film has performed very well in North India [exceptional in Punjab], but is on the lower side in Mumbai city. The contribution from single screens has been enormous, while multiplexes haven't contributed much from Mumbai city and South. The dip in business on Saturday could be attributed to an interesting cricket match

👏 I know, people are really enjoying this movie in India. So happy for Rani, Vidya and most importantly, for Jessica and Sabrina Lal.

So happy for BBB and YPD! all of these are such low budget movies yet they became so successful and wow.......never mind, I dont wanna get attacked 😆

i can't describe how happy i am for rani more than anyone else (call it bias-ness if you want). this girl needed an "impactful" move like NOKJ. i'm so happy it worked well for her! 😛

hats off to vidya & the rest of the cast too! :)

I'm so happy for Rani! Don't know what would have happened if it had been a flop. She would have been pissed and said "That kiss was for no reason!"

certainly it wouldnt have been flopped...becoz over the years our public realized what actual pain jessica and sabrina's family gone through...without justice...soon the sympathy became a voice of every indian ...'JESSICA SHOULD GET JUSTICE' and finally justice was given...

so there was no chance that our public could leave their struggle on celluloid...big screen...

congratz EVERYONE related to that movie

👏 Kudos!!! God knows when the silly mindless directors will start using their brains to work on their scripts rather than wasting their time and money on big budgeted,shallow,mind-numbing, migraine inducing movies. Its high time they learn a lesson.
