With 'Pa' resting at home, Bachchan Jr finally resumes shoot after 3-week break

The three-week ordeal at the Bachchans' looks like it's about to settle. On Monday morning the recovering man of the house was seen strolling on the lawns of Prateeksha and waving to the swelling crowds outside. He has resumed his everyday activities, except, of course, his gruelling work routine. He meets visitors and spends a reasonable amount of time talking to them.
And although A B Sr will take a while to get back into the studios, it's time for the devoted son to do so. Abhishek has reluctantly resumed shooting. Though he would have liked to be with his dad longer, he left on Monday afternoon for Jaipur to join the waiting unit of JP Dutta's costume drama Umrao Jaan.
Even though the cast and crew initially tried to make do without their leading actor, his prolonged absence had them nervous. Throughout Amitabh's illness JP Dutta empathised with Abhishek's anxiety.
"It couldn't be helped. Being by the side of his ailing father was something any son would want to do. Now that he's joining us we'll try our best to make up for lost time," said JP, as he waited for Abhishek to arrive in Jaipur.
Rushing through the countless chores, in and out of the AB Corp office, Abhishek managed to make it to the airport.
"I'm at JP saab's disposal now. He's welcome to use my services as he likes," said Abhishek before leaving Mumbai for Jaipur to shoot with Aishwarya Rai and the rest of the cast. He's expected to be with the unit for the next fortnight at least.
