Bhansali chooses Bachchan Jr this time
Finally, Abhishek Bachchan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali will team up for an intense contemporary drama
| After dad Amitabh Bachchan in Black and wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in Hum…Dil De Chuke Sanam, Devdas and Guzaarish it is Abhishek Bachchan's turn now to work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali for what is being termed as "an intense human drama taking the protagonist into an area he has never been into before." Bhansali has been in search of a story idea that would do justice to Abhishek's presence. The filmmaker, who recently worked wonders with Hrithik Roshan in Guzaarish, has finally cracked an idea that will accommodate Abhishek's talent.
Confirming these developments Bhansali said, "I've always felt Abhishek has immense untapped potential. He is an actor capable of surrendering to the camera wholeheartedly. I feel his potential is simmering under the surface. I am going to try to harness it." The film is not a historical or a period film. The director revealed, "It is today's subject about contemporary situations and the dilemma that a young individual faces in trying to jump across the hurdles that are placed in his life by the wheels of the government." |
