Oh please don't bash me for this post...lol

But I'll give credit to both kat and salman for the success. Katrina fans, if you watch her interviews, you'll notice that once she mention that salman helps her with scripts. She even didn't want to do SIK, it was salman's suggestion that he said, "It's going to be a hit trust me, you should do it." And Kat went with his words. I like the fact that Kat told the world that he helped her. I think both are very good to each other. I even saw a video of kat going up to salman and hugging him. I thought it was so sweet and cute.

Anyways, directors take her because she's pretty. She'll look good in songs. She is DARN popular. She is salable and baccha Acting. She'll get to it someday hopefully. I'm not saying ke she's dont hardworking but I dont understand why is it so hard for some people to admit that she aint a good actor? 😕

P.S. The NAME SALMAN KHAN has definitely been a BOON to her. Along came AKSHAY KUMAR. Luckily, her movies became all SUPERHIT (but did she have a MAJOR role in them? Dont think so) But now she is known to be WELL ESTABLISHED. Thanks to those Hit movies which made her SALABLE but she didnt do ANYTHING MAJOR ACTING WISE. Then came movies like New york, Rajneeti and so Forth!!!

That's pretty much it, to be honest. There's no denying she's very pretty(though I don't see her appeal). If she didn't have that beauty, I'm ready to bet my right arm she wouldn't be as popular as she is today. 😆 And she's just lucky.

IMO I would attribute her success to multiple factors. Salman, her hard work and LUCK.

Just one factor out of the three and I feel she would not have been the rani of box office. 😊

I would not give the entire credit to Salman for her success, but yeah definitely some credit bcoz I feel he was instumental on her getting the intial foot hold. Just Salman helping her and she doing nothing from her side would not have got her to where she is today.

Thats why I give a lot of credit to her hard work and dedication too. I felt she was very focussed and she planned her career course very well.

No unwanted controversies, no cat fighting, always politically correct answers in her interviews, no PDA with Salman nor with the someone she is supposedy dating now. So she played her cards right.

And above all LADY LUCK favored her. Like she always says she is destiny's favorite child. Completely agree on that statement.

Only complaint I have with her is she should explore more and do more variety in her roles.

Why single out Kat? I think in Bollywood everyone needs a famous surname or someone to guide them. If it was like Hollywood where one can go for an audition and get chosen for main leads, then we may not have some of the popular actress we have today (Aish, Priyanka, Deepika, Preity, Sonam etc)

Yes, Salman guided her. She said that herself but he cannot be credited for who she is today. I would've agreed with people who says it's because of Salman she is famous, ONLY if Salman 'launched' her like he did with Zarine or Sneha, Sonakshi etc. She never had that big launch. She just did what she felt like doing and people just fell in love with her. And also if all her directors come forward and tell us that they casted Kat only because she is Salman's gf, then some of ur claims would've made perfect sense. Even in MPKK (Horrible movie BTW) she was playing second lead actress and same in Partner.

She is defintely one of the popular celeb in our country along with Khans and it's because she planned her career well. She may not be my fave actress but for the last few yrs I never regretted watching any of her movies. Her acting is very 'natural' and not over the top which is not something I can say for other heroines. Her pairing with Akshay definitely helped and it benefited Akki as well. And other thing is that she improves with every single movie. She is doing her best and I will definitely appreciate her for that. Directors and co-stars who worked with her claim that she is one of the hardworking celeb in BW. In Youth Summit, she said when she finishes her shoot and others go out for party or club, she goes back home to work on her script. She's putting in big efforts and that's why she is undoubtedly the biggest actress in bollywood today.

She isnt the only one u can go and say the same line to everyone else for example Aishwariya withouth dating Salman and with out the Bachchan tag would she have survived to this day? And when will the day come when she can anchor one film alone, without Hrtithik Roshan and Abhishek Bachchan! and without starring in movies of Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Mani Ratnam!

So why point out Katrina when the question can be asked to everyone not only her every top actor and actress today in the industry has some favorites some wants to only star in 2-3 directors movie, some only works in the movies which stars that actor they only want to work it, some only does comedy mvoies, some only does romantic movies etc.. everyone has their chocies so no need to start picking on anyone!

sorry...but i personally think and totally bias here...but Aishwarya got Hum dil before she dated salman and she was internationally famous before marrying abhi...plus she earns more and is more successful than he does! She's obvious worked hard! And she's def talented...I have yet to see Kat do a hum dil, devdas, raincoat, chokher bali, etc.

Also to eroticlover...kat is a hard worker and i think it's demeaning to associate a woman's genuine hard work to her leading men! I personally didn't think she was fantastic in rajneeti, but she's def improving! I don't appreciate the thought that women only get famous b/c they date certain actors....please don't associate her success to salman...she did put in hard work and she and ALL women that hard work should get their due and credit!

I agree, Katrina has had many hits but not many have showcased her talent or her improvements as an actress. I think some of the best choices she made were films like Humko Deewana Kar Gaye, New York and Rajneeti, she needs to continue down that road before she is typecasted.

Sarcastic? Don't think so 😕 The ONLY reason why I bothered to reply was because you indirectly were referring to my post. Look, defend Katrina all you want, considering you're her fan. I really don't give a hoot because it's no skin off my nose! But do you really have to be so rude? If you hadn't directed your post at my comments, I wouldn't have even bothered replying. And it's funny how you over-looked the part where I mentioned that Katrina seems to be a hard working girl and I'll give her credit for that. I guess you only choose to see and read what you want to :)
