akki has had lots of affairs, what about the 'trainer' lady, post PC. going back to AB and R, Yash c, bbc interview, said R was the girlfriend, and J was the wife, and he was really worried during the shoot of silsila, but the all behaved well, as he had good relations with. AB/R affair continued post silsila, upto 86/87. its not a rumour, as some have said, but a fact.
reason, its probably still a story, legends, and undercurrent rumour that the relationship b/w AB and R continues!
if it all ended during silsila, do you think the media would be interested!
after the Yash Chopra comments, Rekha's interview with Simi, where she denied the whole thing...sounds so stupid...
AB is the cool, he just ignores the whole question...what to do!

celebs private lives are fodder for gossip and i dont blame them for denying and getting annoyed at media intrusion, whatever happened or feelings that continue to exist is noone elses business.

now more than ever celebs are scrutinised, their privacy invaded for people to point fingers- whole thing is sad.

as for yash, he shouldnt have opened the can of worms now- but it happens, i remember an intv in which the affair beteen tony curtis and marilyn was exposed- by her husband of the time! maybe for them, they lose all grip on privacy but kudos to those celebs who still have that dignity to not air dirty laundry in public. i truly believe half of it is over exaggerated by the media anyway. flirtations are turned into affairs, flings into serious commitments and what not!

media...is not simply a headless thingee.. is run by humans...so they say!

exactly! hrithik did not do any movie, decided not to speak with the media and that is what he got in return!! the media goes crazy making up stories!! and seriously celebrities are human beings too, not all of them have to be cheats!! i feel hrithik, srk, akshay, abhishek----have not cheated post their respective marriages, and also in the case of shahid he was so easily linked with amrita which was totally not true! infact shahid gets linked with every actress he gets a film with! i do not think it is possible to keep the energy to be at it all the time!! i am certain that the akki-priyanka affair story is false!

Errm how exactly can you say that it is a fact that their affair carried on upto 86/87 do you have any solid proof? Because most of what I've heard is it ended in 1982,during the coolie phase.

And some people have been saying that there are rumours of them still being in a relationship which sounds absurd because if they were, would the media have not come up with solid proof of them still being together considering the fact that AB is followed by them wherever he goes! It seems highly unlikely.

The reason why the media are still interested in this is because it still makes for so called "interesting gossip" ,people still like to speculate about it from different angles, I mean look at this forum, 8 pages of discussion about an affair that happened 20 something years ago

Well my mom had told me tat Rekha-Amitabh had a solid affair...however after the coolie accident, he stuck to Jayaji, however there was a buzz tat they were still going on...Rekha put her foot down,wen Amitabh refused to leave Jaya or his family n marry Rekha, coz his repute was at stake...n out of revenge she married Mukesh, a Delhi based business man, n tat guy commited suicide(he hung himself on the fan using Rekha's dupatta) n tat caused alot of speculation tat maybe A-R affair was the main reason for his suicide, even Rekha's fans boycotted her films...after tat incident, Rekha completely went into a shell n refused to speak to the media...i guess tats wen Vinod Mehra entered the scene, however he died too...since then the media has speculated alot on her kundali, saying tat whoever she will marry will die...tat upset Rekha...she had flings affter tat, with younger men, but never married...
