Cast?-Extremely well-suited. From the jhalle friends to Suhani's strict mom n dad to Adi's pompous dad/loving mom.SRK-Tabu were an added bonus.

Songs?- A.R.Rehman. Need I say more? It's, still, one of my fav. albums. Adnan Sami is awesome in Aye Udi Udi Udi. Chupke Se is magical and title song can't be forgotten. Personally, love Naina Milayke..Rani looked extremely pretty in the simple saree 😍

Vivek and Rani's chemistry in the film? - Loved, loved, loved it. They were so compatible. Vivek suited the childish/carefree attitude of Adi. Likewise, Rani suited the sane/responsible Suhani. They were two opposites but just meant to be.

I'll write more..right now, I feel like listening to the soundtrack again. Thanks for this. 😳

One of my favourite movies! Though it's not original, there's still some freshness, I love the way it's been executed.
The cast was apt, I loved the relationship between Suhani, her sister and their dad, so real!

The title song till date remains my favourite, Naina milayke and Chupke se are a second close however. ARR has done a fab job overall barring Chori pe Chori.
Although took me forever to understand the lyrics, that too with help. Even the picturisations are awesome, the vibrancy of Chalka Chalka and Saathiya leave an imprint in my mind.

Loved Vivek-Rani chemistry; their scene in the hospital at the end was heartening, the script did play a major role in it too
As for the acting, it's my favourite performance by Rani, I never really liked her before nor much now but she was extremely likeable in the movie. I felt sorry for her when she finds out about her dad's death, the crying made me empathise with her. It's a shame that she was close to reconciling with him.
Vivek was very charismatic too. Tanuja's short performance was memorable too, I liked how they showed the complex relationship with her and Suhani.

Can't list many -ve's about this movie other than Chori pe chori; I found that so different and out of place with the rest of the movie.

lovliness....was nowhere close to the original...but was a good attempt nevertheless...

wht i liked abt this muvie was that it was never cheesy or filmy...everything seemed natural and realistic, which is a big sigh of relief. the characters, their parents and families, their friends...loved all of them. So true to life. No one lives in a big palace or wears designer clothes...but are regular normal urbanites like u and me. The songs are a major asset here with every song being soo awsomely wonderful and well picturized.

The tamil original Alaipayutey is absolutely mind-blowing and i still prefer it, but saathiya's not bad at all.

^ i agree with the above, Sathiya is a good film, but Alaipayuthey was simply phenomenal. It was essentially Maddy's big break, and the way him and Shalini portrayed a young couple out on their own was really well done. And i'd also say the original songs were better too.

Hey! Ya'll gotto remember we are not exposed to all the originals. Hence, loved what was offered. I need to check out the original, now. Would I get it with subtitles anywhere?
