If you think Imran Khan and Sonam Kapoor made a rocking pair in I Hate Luv Storys, let us tell you just missed a chance to see them in 'Aisha'.

It is believed that before Abhay Deol, Sonam Kapoor starrer Aisha was offered to Imran Khan. According to a unit hand the idea of casting Sonam Kapoor and Imran Khan together in a film was suggested after the duo shot for a Filmfare cover magazine.

"Imran Khan and Sonam make a good onscreen pair but Imran who is choosy when it comes to his films signed Dharma Productions I Hate Luv Storys and was apprehensive about Aisha that was named after the heroine and gives a little scope to a male character. Imran chose not to be a part of it."

"Rhea and Sonam did send the script over to Imran. I don't know why he didn't do it. Maybe he was wary of a script that was named after the heroine. But Abhay is the perfect choice," said Anil Kapoor who himself has done many heroine oriented films like Beta and Lamhe.

Though makers of Aisha feel that Abhay Deol is the perfect choice but it seems the actor is not satisfied with the remuneration and length of his role. As reported Abhay was upset that his remuneration for the film is lesser than Sonam Kapoor's hair and costume budget.

Will Imran's loss be beneficial to Abhay? Let's wait and watch as Aisha releases on Friday.

Smart choice by Imran. Because reviews were Saying Abhay was wasted in the film despite his talent. Aisha is all about Sonam, good choice Imran.

Good for him, he refused. From what I have heard from my friends who went to watch it for Abhay say Abhay has been completely sidelined and ignored and made to look like a side artist.

Come on guys..Imran looks tooooooo young to play Knightly
Any way IHLS has given him a huge career boost.Dharma and YRF signed him immediately and that too opposite 2 top most heroines.Others too are sure to show confidence in him ...

Thank you so much Imran. I would had been so disappointed if you were playing Arjun. I cannot picture Imran playing a mature person, imran still is chocolate boy hero, not a man yet. Where as Abhay fits the bill. And from other forums, everyone are praising Abhay and his charm. It doesn't matter how big your role is, but how much impact you have in the movie. And if he had yes, we couldn't had the chance to see Abhay Sona sizzling chemistry and i cannot picture Imran in Gal Meethi Meethi Bol😆 Imran looks good in IHLS kinda movies.

I'm actually pretty happy about it too.

Abhay's character IS small in Aisha, but that's where Abhay always wins- he underplays magnificently. He can shine in a role, no matter how big or small!

I'm not saying that Imran's not capable of that, but Abhay's already carved himself a nice niche, and Imran's niche is pretty different. He shines in movies where he plays the lead I guess, so I don't know if Imran would've been that impactive as Arjun.
