nd also, der is too much adventurous stuff in the movie, like hritik and ash jumping from the mountain (whatver it is)
nd hritik on the train, etc.

well it was a blockbuster so i guess the masses did like it, a lot of peeps here who do not enjoy bolly films liked it also, after a few years it might not seem as epic but at the time it became a craze and was sumthing very new and refreshing as it was highly entertaining with amazing locations, stunts, dances, humor and a love story!

man both these movies were pointless. i remember watching Dhoom 1 a while back and i think there a scene where Uday Chopra like jets into the water and you can see the string still attatched to back of his vehicle. -_-

Also, didnt Dhoom craze lead to a prominent increase the amount of motorbike accidents in India? lmfao.
"

[edit] Crime inspired by Dhoom

The movie had a significant cultural impact among urban Indian youth. It was blamed for an increase in incidents of street racing; bike-borne theft and stunting on public roads. Besides, there was a new impetus to the bike-modifying scene with youth going in for modifications to their bikes ranging from free flow exhaust systems to addition of NOS kits. These in turn, gave rise to incidents of speeding and breakage of traffic rules on the already unruly Indian streets. Robbery increased in cities where people after taking their money from ATMs or from banks were robbed at gunpoint and the robbers escaping on bikes

Main article: Chelembra Bank Robbery

In Malappuram district of Kerala, four members of a group of criminals had cracked the floor of South Malabar Gramin Bank on the early hours on 30 December 2007 and looted Rs. 25 lakhs and 80 kilograms of gold. Estimated to be worth Rs. 8 crores, the robbery is considered to be one of the biggest thefts in Kerala's crime records. The Kerala Police have arrested four people in connection with this and the leader admitted that it was inspired by Dhoom movie. In the movie the robbers also made a hole on the ground floor of the bank and got away with the valuables during the new-year event.[2][3]""

I thought both movies were .. fun. Like not award worthy or anything .. but fun. The title tracks are catchy, annnnd it helps when you have John Abraham and Hrithik Roshan in the leads.

Dhoom II made me fall in love with Hrithik and Aishwarya so it will always remain one of my favourite Dhoom movies.
I'm sorta curious as to what they'll do with Dhoom 3 but if SRKs their new lead then I'll pass.

I agree with priety*zinta
They werent amazing but I enjoyed watching them and would watch again
I loved most of the songs from both movies, my favourites being Crazy Kiya Re and Dilbara
Dhoom was probably a better film overall, better plot/acting etc
