What is it about Shahid Kapoor that he always gets more female attention than most of the other young actors? No sooner did the promos of his forthcoming film Badmaash Company release that he was flooded with calls, text messages, emails and letters from young girls.
And no, the messages weren't full of praise for the actor but it was more like disgruntled fans asking their darling actor to stay away from intimate scenes.
The barrage of fan mails started when Shahid's admirers saw him making love to Anushka Sharma in the promos of Badmaash Company.
Amongst all the sulky messages asking him to refrain from getting too touchy feely on screen was a phone call from a female fan. The particular fan somehow got Shahid's number and called him up to make her displeasure clear.
This isn't the first time that female fans have closely followed Shahid's moves. While shooting for the same film on a Bangkok beach, Shahid had to face an embarrassing situation when a group of girls mercilessly teased him by openly asking him to bare his chest so that they could have a good look at him.
A few weeks ago too Shahid's harmless massage session at a hotel turned out to be one of those downright dirty ones that Bangkok is so famous for and he almost had to run out of the massage room.
Only time will tell whether he will heed his fans' advice or continue to get intimate with his female co-stars on screen. Despite repeated attempts, Shahid remained unavailable for comment.
