I disagree.
Chameli was a beautiful movie. In the movie, Kareena and Rahul didnt have "chemistry" in the conventional sense becuase their characters werent MEANT to have that kind of chemistry. But they wree two invidividuals who kept the audiences gripped.
What about movies liek Aamir? Beautiful BEATIFUL movie. But who did Rajeev Khadewal have chemistry with? Nobody.
Chemistry depends ont eh STORY.
If you have a beautiful story like DDLJ, beautiful chemistry will be created because teh script creates Raj adn Simran to be that way. Same with JWM. THe script made Geet and Aditya. Shahid and Kareena could not get their chemistry noticed in movies liek CCK and 36 Chinatown, why? Why did it take an imtiaz Ali and a JWM to get them noticed? Because of the script. THe characters Imtiaz penned out, the dialogues he wrote.
Akki and Kat share great chemistry int eh sense that Akki is the comic rugged character while kat is the demure smiling beauty. THose charactesr are created through their scripts. No one raved of their chemistry in DDD like they did in Namaste London. Why? The script.
NO one raved about saif and Preity's chemistry in Kya Kehna but they were explosive in Salaam Namaste. Why? Script.
People thought saif and bebo shared great chemistry in LOC in tehir short roles, but not in Tashan or Kurbaan. Why? Script.
LOC they were lovers. Their love remained strong throughout the movie. Even as saif died, he thought of his love
Tashan: Kareena cheats on saif and uses him to get money, and he hates her the entire time
Kurbaan: Saif uses kareena to get to the U.S, keeps her hostage and hse hates him the entire time.
