One of the prime reasons, and despite everyone not accepting it dear, is actually the kind of money that goes behind in making such a movie. Bollywood doesn't have that technology, that capital and that kind of time (10 years) to make that kind of movie. Especially when people may or may not watch it. I don't think any Indian director would take such a chance, forget director, no producer would. And despite us not accepting that this is an important enough reason, I think it is...


About Twilight, I better not comment. The day I want to watch Twilight-type movies, I'll drop in... 😆


Edit: I wasn't impressed either by Avatar by the way, not when it went ten years into making and by a director the stature of James Cameron.

because bollywood is only about glamour n romance .
there are absolutely no movies that have some thought given in any other direction apart from the above.

because in no way possible could Bollywood even dream of using the technology of CGI....I mean Avatar was AMAZING...visually it was spectacular....plot wise it was good as well....althoguh I prefer Titanic if comparing the two Cameron films.... heck Bwood couldnt even do a movie like New Moon (which was one of my faves this year as well.....the CGI in that was amazing as well)

Even if bollywood makes a movie like Avatar, not many people are gonna watch it >(

People only see movies if; 1) it has their fav actor/actress 2) fav. jodi 3) Romance

The same thing was said about Slumdog they said why couldn't we make that film !! and it was one of the super duper hit !! Why cannot we make films like Avatar we tried and it ended up as RGV's Aag !! Bollywood producers think after the movie gets super duper hit !!
